SL65 vs Gallardo
Another evening cruise with my girl going to get some dinner. She just had an argument with a family member of hers so she was rather down. As we came up to the fwy entrance I heard 2 exotic exhaust notes coming from behind. Bother were revving like they were playing with each other. I slowed before getting on the to see the story. Sure enough a red 355 and black Gallardo pass me in the other lane and stop at the light. Nothing cheers my girl up like a race so I pull out of the fwy lane and maneuver up behind the two at the red light.
Right away my gf sat up in her seat as the light turned green. They pulled away fast enough to separate them from the rest of the traffic with nothing but clear road ahead. I pulled up to the 1st car (F355) and slowed even with it and gave a bit of a taunt. I saw it was a blond girl and she wasn't having any of it so I was on to the gallardo which I figured was her man. I pulled up next to him and hit it for a few seconds then slowed. Car was black with matte black wheels, paper plates and what looked to be after market exhaust since the tips extended out farther than usual and were chrome. That was all it took.. just as I slowed I heard the gallardo screaming up to me and saw the xenons lighting up my right side. I was doing around 45mph and hammered it with the gallardo right it my bumper in the other lane. To be honest I expected him to pull me at first since it seemed I did not start in an optimal gear but I was gone and proceeded to pull approximately 4 car lengths away before I hit the breaks at 130mph. I flipped it and went back to the fwy. I looked over at my gf and she had a smile from ear to ear.
Easy fix.

On a side note: Last week while on the 101 I saw a Veyron and a 599 within 5 min of each other. Amazing! The Veyron was the icing on the cake. Most are lucky to even see one at a car show. I think it was Scott Storch's car. Too much traffic to even think of playing with them.

This guy saw Ralph Lauren's Veyron, followed it, took lots of pictures, and even stopped and talk about the car!
