Juice if you put the Vette Run-flats on the E63 you'd see the same higher ET...There like rock hard skateboard wheels..
Cool vid thanks for sharing...

Nice video. From my gut instinct and youtube experiences, I'd say C6 vs CLS63 would be neck and neck in all situations except maybe high high speeds, but even so, the C6 is MUCH more aerodynamic so that could make up for the hp deficit.

This was not me , dam i wish it was..
This is a stock E63 driven by ZAX63, the current fastest stock 63 run at NED on 09/05/2007.
It moves out nicely for a car on stock conti's. and a stock ecu, etc...I dunno if he has his filters in or not?

There are plenty of FACTORY STOCK C6 1/4 slips/TIMES over @ Corvette Forum the best being Low, low 12's ie 12.15-12.30's average for a well driven manual is 12.50...
Also all this is closeness w/BASE c6 IS OVER w/new 2008 C6 w/LS3 engine there dynoing bone stock @385-390 rwhp much more than the factory claim of 436 crank HP, using 15% driveline loss for Manual 6 speed you get about 460 crank HP, now GM just has to get rid of those horrible stock RUN-FLATS

W/CAI & a tune there getting into 430 rwhp that's Z06 territory

It was a C6 6spd Z51 package...shorter gearing than base. Before the run, the guy told me he had made a few mods he was testing out, I did not inquire what they were. Next time I see him, I'll ask what he's got going on. I definitely killed him on the launch, I've had C5 manuals and it takes more skill to launch right. He ran a 12.7 the prior run. By the way, it was my 2nd time running the car, 6th run total, my car won't shift out above 6200 in first for no reason I can figure other than it is still very green. I haven't been to a dragstrip since 1999 or 2000 in my 'vette. Shooting for 12.3x's above 115 when my car breaks 2500 miles.
BTW, I love Vettes, wanted a Z06, but I need a conservative car for what I do and also haul around 2 kids frequently... Vette not so great for that. Or snow, which an e63 handles fine with snowies.

I gotta say (a little late) big props to Juice63 for spending a fair amount of time with me on PM going over proper launch techniques... the guy really knows what he is doing on the strip and knows how to get the most out of these motors! E63's launch way differently than E55's. You can brake torque them a bit, which on the E55 is a recipe for disaster. I think my fastest run was a launch from 1200 RPM with brake torque bringing the revs there when the tree started to count. Strangely, my next run with 1500 RPM on the tach resulted in a 12.52. Also, with a sticky track, you can hammer down immediately in my limited experience.
