I (sorta) beat a Supercharged 'Vette
Yup, I raced a supercharged C5 Corvette at Englishtown last night and beat him in the 1/8th mile.

Just shows anything can happen when a driver messes up on a launch or doesn't drive properly...now, I'm sure you all want to know what happened after that (most of you can figure it out by the MPH...).

LOL...I was like "oh *****, I'm actually ahead of him! wtf..." and then my hopes and dreams were shattered as he flew by me at almost 20mph faster than me. I doubt my car stands a chance against a stock C5 'Vette, let alone a supercharged one or any C6 so please don't get the wrong idea, I was just having fun and my friend who was watching the race was like impressed.
(Oh, BTW Juice, an E63 ran a 12.2)

Nice kill BTW, I know how that feels 4 sure from my Z06 encounters..not quite 20 mph but 10 mph is similar to 20

Thanks everyone. Yeah, I thought you guys would like my 1/8 mile "win" LOL.
I was really tempted to just leave out the 1/4 mile times and all trap speeds and then see everyone call
lol.
There were a whole handful of blown 'Vettes running 11's and 10's. A C6 Z06 ran against my friend and only hit a 13.0...seems like it takes lots of skill to launch one of them.
My friend recorded the run, hopefully I can grab the video off him soon. The 'Vette did a nasty burnout too.

Hey Italian Stallion, that was a cool story, you must have been pumped full of adrenaline for hours after your race with the vette. Sweet car you got, when are you planning on getting the Skyline? definitely want to see pics of that. Congrats on the kill! (sorta).

About the GT-R: It is going to be released at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 24th. Shortly after you're gonna see a ton of reviews and comparisons with this car. My deposit is fully refundable, so I can pull out anytime.
The GT-R should reach US shores sometime this Spring, maybe Summer. I'm supposed to be one of the first in the US to get. I have a lease on my CLK that runs out in Spring time, so its perfect for me.
And don't worry, if I do proceed with this car I will post full reviews, pictures, and videos.
From the history of the Skylines and the rumors about this car, it should beat out a 997TT in all performance areas. It will have a dual clutch sequential tranny, a V6TT, all wheel drive, all wheel steering, 2+2 seating, and fully loaded with power seats, nav, and all those goodies. Nissan says it will have the durability and internal strength to at least match the old RB26DETT so that basically means unlimited hp numbers...I'm pretty excited, I guess we'll find out in 9 days if it lives up to expectations.

And yup, when (and if) I get the new Skyline I will make sure to give you guys the works.
I ran at Englishtown, NJ. It was only my 2nd time at the drag strip in my whole life, I'm sure my times will get better. Plus my blingy rims and sound system don't help, a stock CLK500 would get better times.
