Bmw needs to stop trying
On the contrary, my M3 puts its 333 all to the rear wheels with zero drivetrain loss and traps 125mph. I outran a new Z06 without taking my car out of 6th and while the Elise I came across in the twisties was rolling like a boat in comparison. Whenever I get in my S i wish AMG had slapped the 3.2 I6 under under the hood.
If you want to see the ultimate driving machine, I'd be glad to show you the quads on my E60 M5.
I've driven both and let me tell you the Z06 is no joke, car is super jarring and makes you think OMG as you are pulling hard in 2nd gear. But if you say so i guesssssss its possible. On the contrary, my M3 puts its 333 all to the rear wheels with zero drivetrain loss and traps 125mph. Funny stuff.
but with the mods avaiable on my E55..it will take more than 400RWHP out of a 3L biturbo to put distance on an modded E55.

Supra! Supra! I know, I know. Just kidding, felt like I needed so jump into this lol
BMW is pressing hard to narrow the power gap in the standard model range (let's face it, AMG is still outgunning Motorsport in respect to power) with the introduction of the TT I6 and TT V8 powerplants. I know there is some power locked up in MB's new V8...they better get to work!
