Bmw needs to stop trying

Look as you know, they say bmw is the ultimate driving machine, but to me i think otherwise.Anyway i was coming home on 95 around 11 pm no traffic, when a 2006 bmw 7series decided to roll next to me.I was probabily moving at about 75 to 80mph, but i didnt feel like racing at the time. But this guy insisted on lurching forward and paced me for about 1 to 2 miles, he then cuts in front me about three times, for no damn reason, trying to show off.And then he rolled his window and put his thumb down.I dont know about you guys but he kept disrepecting me .So I said f_k it and he me paced at 90mph then we both hit,i made sure that i blew his dam doors all the way to 135mph.He was about 8 carlengths back, so i slowed down. And to get my point across to him i let him flyby me (which had to been 100mph when i was at 80) and i caught up to him and as i was passing by at 120 i gave him the middle finger,to let him know i got tired of his sh_t.And after all that he does another flyby cuts off 3 cars and takes the shoulder.I just let that fool go and took the exit. After all that i went home and took some aspirin for a bmw headache. Now dont get me wrong bmw's are right on time with their performance, but as for driver wise they need to come with something better if they gonna keep trying to embarrass amg cars on the road.Especially with an annoying driver like that, sometimes they make themselves look bad.

Um, ok.

On the contrary, my M3 puts its 333 all to the rear wheels with zero drivetrain loss and traps 125mph. I outran a new Z06 without taking my car out of 6th and while the Elise I came across in the twisties was rolling like a boat in comparison. Whenever I get in my S i wish AMG had slapped the 3.2 I6 under under the hood.

Look man like i said bmw makes outstanding cars,i just said the driver in that car was being an idiot in his car which was uncalled for, which shouldnt have to be.And thats all i was sayin, he picked a bad time to be an idiot if you were reading correctly.Nobody is tryin to start a stupid war, im just telling you what happened, so if you take offense to that,im sorry.

Well, you were taking a crack at BMW, rather than the idiot driver who pissed in the wrong pond.

If you want to see the ultimate driving machine, I'd be glad to show you the quads on my E60 M5.

E46 M3 vs C6 Z06 and m3 won?????? I've driven both and let me tell you the Z06 is no joke, car is super jarring and makes you think OMG as you are pulling hard in 2nd gear. But if you say so i guesssssss its possible.

a quarter mile at a time
Reminds me of the night I was bringing my car home. A E39 528i came up RIGHT behind me with his Xenons. Tailed me for about 2 mins and then he went around and cut me off. I stayed behind him until we got through traffic and as predicted he punched it. Well so did I and I started crawling up his trunklid and eventually went around him. This guy stayed back after that though. Definitely his first intro to the 3.5L flavor of the C-Class.

I respect the bi-turbo engine and the new line of turbo engines (v8 and diesel) Im considering a fugly 135i as my daily driver...

but with the mods avaiable on my E55..it will take more than 400RWHP out of a 3L biturbo to put distance on an modded E55.

actually i can relate. there are a lot of those kind of drivers in socal as well. Most of them usually drive a lower end 3-series e46 though. Usually the 5 and 7 series drivers are pretty old and drive respectably.

Great kill! Driver of the other car probably thought the 7 series is the fastest car ever, especially with those "maneuvers" of his... Good to see some uncalled arrogance put down.

I agree with Temjin, we normally have those ****ish/****alicious drivers down hers in socal (Dont even think of stealing my word), but normally their the kids (around my age) in the Cs and 3s, the E/S/5/7/6 drivers normally drive respectfully, old or young. Last night on the 101 N I came accross a W208 CLK convertible (couldnt read engine size, it was nighttime), but even for a 55, it seemed like this guy had a deathwish, he was behind me, then the next thing you know he was flooring it down a busy freeway. Im 19 and I know better than that. There's something about an E55 that makes people either slow down near you (fear) or try to race you (testosterone). Its sad really.

wow i cant disagree more. now have there never been more younger people driving nicer cars, and i dont mean 3 series. When I was 19 i had a 540...... I see tons of younger people driving high performance euros and american. High end cars are way more afforadable than they have ever been before, i.e. no down payments with high monthly payments. take a cruise into Irvine or Newport bud.

So if you are against the driver and for the car, then why is the title of your thread and opening comments aimed at trashing the brand? As much as I love Mercedes, BMW has hands down been more consistent with the caliber of their automobiles. They didn't have a downfall like Mercedes had under the leeching influence of Chrysler. Don't get me wrong, brilliant on the part of Chrysler since they now make decent cars, but destructive to the quality and reputation of Mercedes. Hopefully now the cars are improved; the claims are made, and initial thoughts are good, but only time will tell.

BMW is pressing hard to narrow the power gap in the standard model range (let's face it, AMG is still outgunning Motorsport in respect to power) with the introduction of the TT I6 and TT V8 powerplants. I know there is some power locked up in MB's new V8...they better get to work!

Edit: Grammar and Additional Comments

Unfortunately there are idiots driving all types of cars... I had one 745i driver instigate a race with me. When he lost (badly) he then made the comment re my car: "fast for a matchbox". Guess he was trying to save face for losing with his girl in the car...

Reinforcements yes, its about time someone has my back lol.I know for a fact there is always someone faster, but the best thing to do is appreciate what you have and enjoy your car while it lasts.

745 is so ugly they redesigned it one year after release. Glad you neutered him with the trusty S54 in front of his broad.

Aaaactually I've raced my best friend's K2 SL55 which has power even greater than your 600, and he struggled to put a single length on me. So yeah man sure I'll pick on your SL, you just might not like the outcome.
