I still don't understand why one would feel that because a car has bigger displ,it would automatically translate into the car having more hp than the car with lower displ
2001 M5 has a 5.0L motor with 400hp and has 4 valves per cyl
2001 E55 has a 5.5L motor with 355hp and has 3 valver per cyl
2006 Audi RS4 has a 4.2L motor with 420hp and has 5 valves per cylinder Smallest V8 motor here with the most hp go figure.
2008 M3 has a 4.0L motor with 414hp and has 4valves per cyl
70 hp difference between the MB and the smaller displ Audi and BMW.
Guess this kills the hp displacement logic you have there.

'02 W208 CLK55 AMG, '99 Lexus LS400
This thread should be revived from its 7 year hibernation. It deserves more attention. In my W208 CLK55 I have pulled on an SRT8 Challenger 392 for about 1-2 seconds (pulled about half-3/4 car length before he gave up), a cobalt SS who jumped the start and gained a car length on me which I was quickly able to cancel out, he stopped when it became clear I would pass him and he quit after that run too. I have also taken a newer Audi S4 on a freeway on ramp, had him by about 2-3 car lengths. Some older guy in his brand new Audi A6 3.0T I obliterated, a C5 Z06 w/ exhaust that I held dead even with from about 20-50 or 60 mph before he let off (my father driving the z06). Most recently i took on a 335is which I had the privilege of doing multiple runs w/ on a 2.5 mile straight away. He jumped on me from a dig but each time I reeled him in and passed him by 1.5 car lengths at about 80-100 mph, when going from a roll I put about 1-1.5 car lengths easily each time. When I first bought my car I was letting my father drive it and the first thing he does is ruin a 2006 Mustang GT's day out. That's all I can think of so far...

Just picked up my second Merc 3 weeks ago. I don't understand WHY there are so many X5's trying to race me!! Finally decided to bite and got my first blood. From a dig to about 90 i pulled pretty good, never saw him until he sped past me after i had let off.

Lol, many moons ago I wasn't racing him but got popped by an unmarked Crown Vic when I was doing 135 on 95 in my Delorean. Actually, I pulled over and and waited for him to catch up. He rolled his window down for me. That was funny. He followed me back to my car, looked at my license, then my radar detector and then at the hot red head wearing a one piece black outfit showing some awesome cleavage. He said to me, looks like you were definitely planning on speeding tonight weren't you. I said yes sir. Come back to my car with me and get in. We chatted for about 10 mins, had a few laughs. My license plate said "AQUITED". He handed me back my license and said, take her home and have a good evening.
So I won in the end.

My 07 E550 has beaten many "regular" cars. For some reason, every Nissan driver wants to test their car against me. Many Acura drivers too. I know the newer models are faster and better than before, but I am still holding my own.
I went against my C32 and it was a tie. Did a few runs, but never from a dig. Whoever jumps first gets the edge and that is how it ends.
I lost to an E55. It was just a friendly guy showing me how easily his car could beat me. Last week I ran against 2011 Jaguar XFR 3 times. Same result every time. Very ugly.

Very enjoyable thread. I've had so many kills and very few losses. One thing I will say is my car is not the car for zig zagging in and out of traffic. So I let any and everyone blow past me once they start any of that. Even in sports mode my E is like a boat compared to other cars that tend to want to race.
However, sometimes, I let a Prius or Corolla blow past me for the hell of it. I feel like it makes their day lol. My car is an ultimate sleeper and so many people try and race but 85% of the time I just let it be.
