White E55 AMG on NJTP last night

White E55 AMG on NJTP last night
Wondering if the owner of that nasty white AMG posts here.
Came across a white E55 AMG cruising with a dark red 06+ M5 last night on the NJTP. Ran both from 50ish-120ish. M5 race was dead even but that AMG had at least 4 cars on me at 120. That thing pulled HARD. I'd really like to know if it was modded somehow or if those things really are just that fast! For reference my car traps 115mph in the 1/4 mile.

It had to be modded, if you were dead even with a v10 M5 from a roll at hwy speeds. Good run, what do u have done to your C5??? Im assuming you were in a 99 C5????

His sig says FRC, which is the "fixed roof coupe". Im thinking he's probably a intake and exhaust with maybe a little bit of juice...

Just bolt-ons. 6-speed hardtop. 5th quickest (non-z06)bolt-on C5 in the country to my knowledge. Makes me feel a little better knowing the AMG had something done. I also had my slicks in the passenger seat and my jack in the trunk while we ran since I was on my way home from the track.

...I'd have thought that the M5 would've started pulling once you hit triple digits; those things are wicked fast up high...may have been the nut behind the wheel not having it in the proper mode...anyway, it definitely sounds like the E had some mods to pull you like that.

The white E55 AMG might belong to T83. I think his E55 is white, and is in Jersey. As for modded, a well modded E55 is very fast. I witnessed one run a 11.05 ET 1/4mi about a month 6weeks ago. That was without NOS. I don't remember the trap speed but I think it was just under 130mph. I've never seen a stock one run, so dunno what it would do but I'm guessing mid 12's??
