E55 vs Viper SRT10. Stop light race!!
I was on my way to grab some lunch today when low and behold I see a silver Viper SRT10 vert pulling out of the dodge dealer on placentia ave in Anaheim. I slow down and wait for him to get next to me. I looked back to let him know I noticed his car.
Well, we get to the next light and look over and and give him the nod. I wasn't sure if he was acknowledging me or just concentrating. He didn't peel out when the light turned green so, i kept it in 1st and stayed next to him. He accepted the challenge and we both got on it at nearly the same time. Not my ideal race. Because my car is nasty from a dig
. So we did the 1st gear rolling start. We were dead even all of 1st gear. 2nd gear still dead even. We took it up to triple digits and I started to pull very slowly and peaked out no more then bumper. But, he had slam on the brakes because a car in his lane.
After the race we talked and he gave me props on my E55 and kept saying how he liked it. We exchanged some compliments and a few hardy har har's. Very cool guy. I took a pic on my camera phone. That v10 sounds meaaan!! That made my whole day! GOOOO AMG!!!

The other day I was trying to get a newer C6 to run but it just didn't happen. He kept looking at me like I was driving a honda or something
. I waived and just moved on...enough gas wasted.

all i gotta say is that the 03 and up e55's are one of my fav's i only wish i had waited a little bit before pulling the trigger on my 02 clk55 so i could have got a e55 instead...anyways nice car

It was funny, after the race. I was looking right at him, and he was like yea, mm huh, yupp. Just staring at the fender badges or my wheels and brakes. I think he glanced up for a split second. Really cool about it though. That is how a race should end. Win, lose or draw.

Vic, why don't we do some runs with the Batmobile vs Orca. I think that is a much more suitable race then my stock Beast.

I had him all the way till the end of the track 1/2 car lenght until the end of the quarter started to gain on me...he trapped 130 I think but I had the fastest ET.

I doubt any stock Viper can trap 130mph. I have seen weirder things happen so, I wont completely disagree.
We did a rolling start from 1st gear so, there is not much driver error involved if any. The silver SRT10 I raced was a convertible too. (extra weight)

Im so lost about all the diffrent vipers out there. I have heard some are slower than e55's, some the same, and some faster...

Thanks. I know what your saying. I have seen video of a stock viper vs a stock e55 on gtboard as well and they were very close all the way up to 155mph. Maybe that Viper you ran was modded? It looks like an older year. Hard to tell from the video. Nice numbers btw!

That's why it trapped so high. But I get what you are saying the older model just comes with 500HP i believe. Nice Kill
