CLS63 AMG vs a fully modded 300C SRT8 on 24s (vid)...

Ran a buddy of mine in Mexico a couple of night ago. He has a fully modded 300C SRT8 rated at 511 rwhp/ 498 rwtrq (with a 100 shot of NOS), here are the mods:

CMR Tune by RDP Steve, Inierta (STU) Heads & Special Cam, Ported & Coated Intake, GSM Phelonic Spacer, Magnaflow Exhaust, Gutted Cats, Mopar CAI. Zex kit 82177&82001, Nitrous Outlet Plate & Pressure gauge

My car is a stock CLS63 AMG with drop in K&N Filters and Resonator delete...

It was fun race. He had to use a 100 shot to walk me. At the end of the vid I start pulling on him, because he ran out of NOS ...

I have to add that he was also running on heavy 24s, and if he had lighter rims, Im sure he would have ran even faster, especially juicing...

Nice work-not even really comparable cars in my book-you have all that powa and a nicer ride (really, 24's?-those cant be comfy to roll around in....)

Wow...a tune, H/C/I, and exhaust only got the SRT-8 about 40-45 HP? Did he dyno with those 24's?

Well, I'm sure the 24's soaked up all kinds of power...but ~410-415 rwhp (without N2O) isn't all that impressive considering the work done to it. I don't really mean that as a slam to you or the SRT-8 owner...just figured that engine would respond better to mods...

I know what you mean. The 63 is faster if he doesn't juice, but then again, if he runs on stock rims, he could run a bit better...

His best 1/4 time is 11.9@121 on DRs...

+1. I'm wondering if the H/C was really done or are 24s that bad?

Tuned SRT-8s s/b 400rwhp - 410rwhp on 91oct.
H/C should bring them to the 440/450 range and that is on stock 20s.

Oh...that makes more sense all motor...except 511 w/ a 100 shot is...um...off a little. Either way 11.9 isn't slow by any means...but was that on spray or all motor?
