McLaren SLR VS the world. . . .
Well guys this isn't a normal "Kill Story" as of yet but very well could be come tomorrow. I will post with updates and pics tomorrow as I am currently camping at the Petit Le Mans this week at Road Atlanta and there is a fantastic sounding, fantastic looking, and fantastically fast MB on the track. They are running an SLR in the Speed World Challenge GT class. http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...gt-series.html



This car is the absolute best sounding car of all of the cars here for the weeks racing festivities (P1/GT2 alms cars included). Hopefully it will keep up the good times tomorrow. I will post up the results but everyone cross your fingers

No, no, no, your C63 doesn't need a spoiler... AMG put a lot of R&D into your car so leave it alone. All C63's are pretty good looking in my opinion... for a c class anyway...

FWIW, I'll take a C300 over your decade old SL500-- even if it's "just a c-class".

I see it qualified 7th, very cool. So what is the hp on it for Speed GT? At 680hp, it would run away from the field....

Yea the Volvos are really fast, they won and the SLR came in 10th

Also I talked to the MB guys in the pits and they were telling me that the production car is actually faster than the SLR they are racing with due to it having to be detuned to meet class restrictions

yea the acuras were fast but they didnt have anything on mcnish and the rest of the audi boys

Its a damn shame they pulled the checkered flag out early though. The weather cleared up and they coulda had an hour sprint to the finish.

I am just now getting up and going after the race now. We were walking around the track paryting till 2:30 last night.
