C32 gets into fight with multiple BMWs...
Interested in giving Lenneth a serious test, I decide to keep pace and catch up. The M6 accepts my challenge, and we get around 75. On the first take off, I am *actually* keeping the M6 in check. We're neck and neck up to about 130. Past 130, I actually start to *eeeedge* the M6 out in acceleration. We stopped at around 140.
M6 is obviously very aggravated, and wants to run again. Again we go to 75...and again, the results are the same. M6 grants me much earned respect, and we cruise home respectively.
That night, I was *very* proud of my car.
The next day, I get called out by a 335i...which really isn't a big deal. It wasn't modded, because the 335i found out very quickly it bit off more than it could chew. Lenneth pretty much walked away from the opposing vehicle without effort.
I was given props by the challenger, and we went on our way.
Interesting note: This probably doesn't mean much...but the BMW had a '76' emblem on the trunk that replaced the standard M6 emblem. It looked like a jersey font. I'm curious as to if it was some sports guy I challenged and defeated.
So, long story short, I'd say this is my best victory yet...unless you think the CL55 victory on the freeway was better.

But then again, the S85 engine in the M6 requires one to be on it at 8/10ths or more. If you are sleeping, a tq beast could definitely lay waste to you down low but up over 120 at the same pace with the M6 in 5th gear your car would have to be very very very strong.
I don't know if he was maxed out of the throttle or not. All I know is I did win, albeit barely.

That and these runs were done at night with pretty chilly air, which probably helps a bit with making the best possible power.

you beat the driver OR it wasn't a real M...good writeup though bud and i do respect c32s

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
What's that, they trap 10mph higher than my car?
Well, clearly it couldn't be driver error or a lack of interest on their part, it's the fact my CF delete netted me 95rwhp and that his car was really a rebadged Toyota
however, the difference is that mine went from a low roll and i'm much more modded than the OP (i dyno 360whp and 380wtq on a dynodynamics, which im' sure is much higher than the OP). i went into detail about tq and hp numbers in it. it was a pretty legit thread/argument.

i do find it difficult to believe that with this particular C32 setup it would pull on an M5/6 in regular mode (not p400).....as i started in the thread in the C32 section, perhaps p400 mode was on, perhaps the driver had a manual and not SMG...and not a great driver. maybe someone started in a bad gear/power band, maybe someone had a jump
videos are definitely the best evidence for support; that and speaking with the other driver, or him recording the vid lol.
Weight: 3909 3540
HP (rated): 500 349
lbs/hp: 7.82 10.14
So stock-stock, unless he's too dumb to rtfm (don't discount this possibility, btw) and put it into P500 mode, he's running about a 23% advantage in terms of weight/horsepower.
This is h-u-g-e.
And that's using the ridiculously low factory rating for HP; trap speeds tell the tale, and that baby is probably pert near 7% underrated--if not more--imo based upon traps we're seeing, as are the big AMGs and 600/65 AMG models as of late...
So to get to parity, which would still probably have you getting walked at 1xx due to a huge disparity in gearing once he hits 4th, you'd need to solve for 3540/x = 7.82 (again, this is using the joke-ish rated HP), so x = 3540/7.82 = 453 HP.
If we use a more realistic crank estimate for the M6, which would be roughly 4079*(119/234)^3 = 535 hp (119 mph trap speed w/170 lb driver), then you'd need to get to 3540/(3909/535) = 3540/7.3 = 485 hp.
So to be in the game, you'd need north of 450 crank, and (assuming a less-than-perfect driver in the M) 470-ish plus to pull him at triple digits.
Once you get that thing out to a strip, the traps will tell the tale...but I agree, sounds like you beat the driver, unless your mods picked you up 120+ horsepower.

Also, you've gotta take Cd times the frontal area of the car to have an idea of the relative drag of the two vehicles, so that number alone isn't enough (not to mention the 180-ish hp difference)....Anyway, while you're comparing numbers have a look at the gearing in the C32 (not 36) vs the gearing in an M6; the M6 has much more agressive gearing in the 1xx range (which comes at a price in mpg, but you can't have everything...).

, the vert is a piggy 500+lbs heavier but op surely would've said this if it was...also reading up on cd shows there's a lot more to aerodynamics than just that figure...improviz...thanks for the sober analysis once again, facts are facts...

M6 is in 4th from 97-126 (1.39:1 gear, 5.03:1 overall (3.62:1 final drive)) and in 5th from 126-151 (1.16 gear / 4.20 overall).
but if you would like im sure the CLS has a higher drag coefficient than the E class. its on this webiste somewhere too.
ill be saving gas, at 21 years old, with my PINK SLIP in my hand, no lender i gotta pay, and you drive your CLS, mad respect to you man. i just hate interest, unless it works for me!
Who cares?

Good for you. Interest? That would require a loan, which I'm afraid that I don't have, on either the CLS, the 08 ML that I bought my wife brand new, nor the 07 Volvo S60, nor any other item I own, save for my home.
