I call it BS
S4 6speed
Horsepower 333 @ 5500 RPM Torque (lb-ft) 325 @ 2900 RPM
E550 7speed
Horsepower 382 @ 6000 RPM Torque (lb-ft) 391 @ 2800 RPM
They don't weight that much different ........ or the 550 wasn't even racing you.
S4 6speed

I am looking for a slightly used 2012 amg CLS63. Its why I am browsing the board. The race is factual though. Mine dynoed at 305 at wheels. under rated from audi.

He is the shift manager where I work. He bought his car a few weeks after I did. I posted to poke fun at a thread like this...because it is pretty funny. You wouln't post on the audi board about a kill...unless you started the thread.

Not many Mercedes guy will just go to Audi forum posting smoking their cars. I have nothing against Audi, they are beautiful car but nothing compare to a Mercedes. You should try against C63 same class size car. FYI, you are not going to find any used CLS63 2012 anytime soon.

Mercedes C63 AMG on MBusa starts at 58,930.
In the past, an Audi RS4 would always cost around a BMW M3 or Mercedes C AMG in order to compete against it.
A Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series is over 100K easily... An Audi RS4 is closer to the regular C63 AMG in performance than the C63 AMG Black, which would annihilate the RS4 of course.

found 9 for sale. in the usa. I am in canada. either way it would be shipped to my location.

One person contemplating between purchasing a RS4 would only compare to an M3 or C63 AMG. NOT the Black Series. The Black Series competitors would be the 100K+ BMW M3 GTS or the 100K+ Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS. Notice the power difference also between an RS4 and a C BLack Series... No competition at all whatsoever.
It's almost like comparing "HEY should I buy a 2 seater Maserati Gran Turismo S (100K+) or a 2 seater Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series?" (300K +)
There would be a stripped down RS5 track version (A5 = A4 coupe) if Audi wanted to compete with the C63 AMG Black Series... Just like BMW has with their M3 GTS.
And yes SLS is more comparable to the R8 since they're sort of close in price. Take a look at the R8 GT and see what it's worth compared with the SLS. A LOT closer so therefore they're compared often.

Most people will place the S4 as a competitor to a BMW 335. If you must put a C class comparison, the logical choice is a C350 but the C350 will get smoked by the S4.

As a C63 owner, I can tell you that a S4 is no where near my C63. If you look at c63 hp, torque and pretty much every performance measure, it blows the S4 out the water. C63 vs RS4 vs M3 are the comparisons. Audi currently has no direct competition for my car

Price aside, you line up cars bases on their pecking order within the manufacturers line up. So, logically if the RS4 is the premier top end car in the Audi compact line up, it would be pitted against the top cars in the same pen that Merc and Bimmer have, that being a C63BS and M3. The Audi entry one down is the S4 so that would go up against the C63, A4, guess that would go against the C350 or something.
