Here's an American car that'll put your Benzes to shame!
The new Cadillac CTS-V. 0-60 in 4.7, 1/4 mile in 13.1...$48,000
okay, I know it doesn't literally put them to shame, but it performs better than just about any Benz that isn't double it's price.

also okay wow 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, identical time of the m3 and like what? .1 or .2 seconds slower then the c32?
and if a c32 can beat an m3 im thinking a c32 can also beat the grandpa mobile(aka cadilac) also the cadi is a manual....besides a pro racer, your average driver wont be able to stick a 4.8 second 0-60 on the street. sooo my point being. paying 48g's BASE PRICE for a damn american made cadilac is ludicrous. people like yourself and kain who idealize a certain brand or country made vehicle are ignorant. i have the mind set to admit when a car is better then my own or the make i drive but for your sorry aaasss to come on here and sa it puts it to SHAME when i think .1 or .2 seconds slower, if you call that to shame, then i suggest you look into the other cars cadilac makes. THEY LOOK LIKE SHIIIIIT and are GHETTO
A CLK GTR can own that so called Cadillac CTS-V.
I like the cts-v but how it puts mbs to shame I don’t get. I would take a c32 or an m3 over the cts-v any day.
Why do you have to bring up the clk gtr in every conversation. I am surprised that you didn’t post a picture of it too.

Or, since you want to get on about unreleased cars yet, how about the upcoming Mercedes SLK55 AMG? A 5.5L V8 with 370 horsepower in a 3200 pound car will outrun the Caddy all day long, with projected 1/4 times in the 12.7-12.8 range, and it's price range should be in the mid-upper $50's.
But it is nice to see GM getting a few sedans/coupes out with decent horsepower---only five years after BMW and Mercedes got into it.

Shoot, I can go buy a four year old LS1 Z28 for ten grand, slap a supercharger and a new rearend on it, and run 11's all day long, for less than 1/2 of the caddy's cost. So? Which would I rather have?
Well, honestly: neither, which is why I drive a Benz!

Then who cares if it can beat a cadillac cts-v?
That being said, kudos to GM for the new Vette and their advertising campaigns (the OnStar free cars promotion and the ads with all the new models, including the overpriced SSR).
I'm all for competition, especially in the high-end four door performance car market. We're all winners.
I'll be happy to race whatever 50 year old in my neighborhood buys a CTS-V. Should be fun.
