I killed/bothered a cop in his private truck
, so I give it some gas to loose it, mission accomplished, then I move to the right since my freeway intersection is coming up and I notice the truck rushing thru the lane to my right so I close the gap between the car in front of me and another on the right lane ahead of him, the white truck pulls next to me with intentions of pulling in front of me and that's when I noticed it was a cop in his blue uniform, at this moment I have more than a good reason to NOT let him get on my way, so he has to get behind me for the intersection ramp and he tail gates me BAD!, anyway as soon as we are on the other freeway I move to another lane and so does he but he moves one more lane to attemt to pass me, I let him get next to me but don't let him pass me, then a car going slower is on his lane so he has to go back behind me and tail gate me, then he tries to pass me once more on the other lane, same story
, by now I'm reaching the exit so I exit and so does him, when we got to the light we are both on the very front, so I can imagine he is going to try to get in front of me for once and for all, light turns green he punches the gas hard (I can hear it)....I turn right

It was kind of nice to let a cop have a taste of real life driving, here in houston you see the cops always speeding in their cars with out their lights on, cutting in front of people, and that just bothers me a lot because they should preach with the example.
(groan) I had a bad experience myself when I tried to shake a police cruiser on rural roads but I was caught when I hit a dead-end. 2 police cruisers caught me at once.
I felt like a jack-***, and I had a good reason for it. The sarge screamed and hollered like a madman at me, as if he'd been chasing me for several miles and had to use a spike-strip to slow me down.
The cops were ready to arrest me right then and there. I managed to get out of it with a polite attitude and a phone call to my (gulp) dad! Remember, its the cop that has the gun on his belt, not you.
The town ordinance was $60 and the writeup was "misuse of power". No I didn't break the speed limit, no I didn't put anyone in danger at that moment, but I was accelerating as the cop put it "Like you stole the vehicle". It was a "special(meaning quite quick)" diesel, my SDL, and my response should have been, "well I listen to all my friends at mercedesshop.com and they all say you should drive your diesel like you stole it. So there!"
Yeah, I know. Cops pull you over saying you were "disrespecting the law" when infact they were going 20 mph faster than you.

A while back I was on the interstate with my old CLK430 and this cop car is behind me....I notice, so I slow down and let him pass. I don't like playing with the police!! When he passes me I see that he is off duty (he's in plain clothes) and has his little kid with him in the passenger seat. Must be nice to get to use the work vehicle off duty!!
So he is only going about 70 to 75 in the left lane, and I just hang back about 1 car length with him....never slowing down, but never passing him. Then some dude comes up on me in a truck.....he's trying to get somewhere real fast. he actually has the nerve to get in front of me and almost pass the cop on the right. Now the cop is getting pissed...he actually put his flashing red and blue lights on when the guy got up around his rear bumper!! Now, finally the dude in the truck lets off the gas and makes me slow down too!!!
Now is this abuse of power by the cop?? basically he was saying.."don't even think of trying to pass me"
The worst part was...the cop didn't need to linger in the left lane....there was plenty of room for him to go back into the right lane....but NO..he has to stay put in the passing lane so no one can pass him!! D!ck
I do love to just hang with a cop that blows by me...never getting too close...but always going the same speed!! He He..I know its a little risky but it kind of gives me a rush!! I know one day I'll probably get pulled over for doing that!!

(donut shop, that is
)The police are pretty nice up here, but I don't know how they are when off duty. When on duty, it's almost like their main goal is to have traffic go smoothly and safely. Once, way back when there was a lot of construction and things were down to a single lane, a Highway Patrol car was in front of a long line of cars (with me there) going pretty slowly. I knew exactly what he was doing, since I'd been driving that way for quite a while. People would usually try to go through as quickly as possible, then everyone would have to slam on their brakes later on and be at a standstill for 5 minutes or so. With the cop car in front, we all just went on through and didn't stop at all.
It's probably because we don't do a lot of highway travel now, but almost all the Highway Patrol cars cruise just around the speed limit unless they've got their lights flashing.
Uh-oh, caffeine, i'm rambling...
