06 Cl600 vs. 2016 392 hemi challenger

First of all I want to know if any other fellow cl 55,600 have raced this car? Just stop light to stop light and then on a long straight.
I am stock and on 91 octane and I have raced the new evo's the new subaru's and new 5.0 mustang along with a few bmw m3 and m5 and no issue beat them all some closer then others as far as competition but none the less victorious.....but last night I raced this 2016 392 challenger. I made the mistake of not taking the traction control off stupid me but still this thing was a beast it had a Manual tranny, 390 gears. We took off and I darted up out of the start and was up on it out of the hole, then my darn TC f'ed me and just shut everything down then kicks back in of course he is up on me now but I charged up on him and ran around him but I think he was getting out of it because of the road narrowing down. At the next light TC still on for me we took off I featherd but still TC got me. He spun just a bit then he took off I finally got out of TC and running up on him I was pulling up on him then all of a sudden he just pulling from me like crazy I was like no way in HELL this guy is stock. His exhaust was so loud and I could smell very strong exhaust like maybe nitrous or a whipple charger which puts down big top end power I couldn't tell if it had a SC because his exhaust was so damn loud.
Not sure what happened but I went home and looked up all the stock specs on both ours cars I know mine but Checked it again and by the numbers there is no way this guy should of got me, I did have 2 people in my car and a truck full of about 50more lbs.
I am dumbfounded and embarrassed. I know those cars are so cheap the do add-on comparative to our cars.
Anyways just venting and now looking to get that tune for sure...
Thanks for listening...lol

Your intercooler pump may be going out.

I thought the same thing and checked it after it cooled a bit I took off the intercooler reservoir cap and it was swirling and milky colored and I checked the schrader valves on the intercooler tanks and they were shooting out just fine.. Unless there is an air pocket I am not sure. I think he must of not been stock just the way he walked away on me was crazy.

Get an ecu/TCU tune. I picked up 125 RWHP with a Renntech tune.

Sure it wasn't a Hellcat?
I'm an Srt8 guy and I can't tell the standard Srt8 from the Hellcat. Easy to miss, especially if he debadged the side emblem.

Of course, the 6.4 with a Whipple is even faster than the Hellcat, so who knows.

Stock, best times for the standard 6.4 are 12.1's@114.

I agree and makes a huge difference because stock to me these cars are heavy and challenged acceleration wise. The speed limiter also kicks in at 130mph.

I can see an N/A SRT8 beating a stock CL600 because I have seen my friends SRT8 300 beat my friends stock untuned S600. The S600 has been tuned and now its a different story like night and day.

The 600 has a 130 mph speed limiter unless you have it removed with an ECU tune.

2003 CL 600
You should have no problem with a properly running stock CL600 and any stock non-hellcat SRT-8. My car trapped 114mph stock in hot weather, the stock SRT-8 times here are at a much lower MPH, like 108-110 average.

However, if your CL is down on power at all you may get beat. A sketchy I/C pump, weak coils, etc can cause these cars to fall off a lot. A big N/A V8 is very consistent from run to run.

All non-AMG MB models of that era were limited to 130 MPH and the AMG's to 155. I believe they still have those limiters in place.

Yeah I bumped mine to the 155 limit via SDS, need to move it higher at some point but 150 is plenty for my normal street racing.

A couple of summers ago I was minding my own business in the left lane on Interstate 70 in PA when a Civic comes up on my bumper. Not wanting to waste any gas, I get into the right lane to let him pass. After he does, I see that he was being pushed by a new (still had temporary plates) 392 Challenger. As he passed me, he dropped it down a gear and hit it (sounded great) as the Civic moved over in front of me. I figured, 'why not?' and got back into the left lane and ran with him. By the time this happened the 392 was 3 to 4 cars in front of me and I pretty much maintained that distance until <120 when I could feel myself reeling him in. I backed off at that point and maintained the distance as I wasn't interested in going any faster (the top was down and my exit was quickly approaching). The Civic? The last time I saw him was when we both blew past him at the beginning.
