CLK55 v Audi then a 911
He follows me off the expressway onto the bypass highway to the airport. I blow through some traffic that was just starting to move from a light in a clear lane, the Audi right behind me. I saw a 911 Cab (996) in the group of cars and sure enough he comes to the front behind the Audi. Great luck we all get off for the airport and the next light goes red, clear road for the next mile. The Audi doesn’t want any more and slots behind me giving the 911 the lane to come up to the intersection. I look over and it’s and guy in his 60’s, I creep a bit and he pulls up even with me. I’m thinking this is going to be a good race, pretty closely matched cars.
I brake torque it just a bit, 1000 rpm and roll on the gas when I see the green, still managed to spin a little. I had the jump on the 911, his nose was even with my front wheel for the first 50 ft before he began dropping back. He only stayed on it until he shifted out of first, because he dropped back 3 car lengths in a second. I was dissapointed the 911 gave up so quickly. The main airport exit comes up, I’m hoping we are all picking people up so we get a chance to chat but I was the only one to exit.

Here by us you get the 1.8T 140KW A4's. They have 17" wheels and the S4 kit. Could've been one of those. Then again, the S4 is not quick either.

--->"He couldn’t have been an S4 because I took him so easily."<---
This story is really a bit worthless. You raced an A4. Even you know that it wasn't an S4. It just doesn't add up. And then the Porsche didn't race you. For the sake of accuracy, make sure the car you're racing is actually racing you and make sure that the car is actually competition and not a 4-cylinder. I don't doubt that you could beat most S4s and probably the 911 (of an unknown year) which has less power than you, but you didn't in this case.

I don't know. What is clear is that you don't know *****. The Porsche did race me, but gave up after I began pulling away.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Well, it looks like you've got me pegged. You're right, I am 10 years old, I've never driven at night (how could I? I'm 10!), and I don't know ***** (when you really think about it, who does really?). You're funny, so I won't insult you in like manner. Reading your posts speaks loudly of your maturity. My post was simply requesting accuracy before posting. Personally, if I was in your position, I would not post a race experience where the STRONG probability is that it was a 4-cylinder car. Simple as that. And I also don't imagine that it was a "kill" if I'm not sure that it was a real race. You go through first gear with a convertible Porsche and you call it a win? It just seems that you are dying for a kill story to post so anything that resembles one, you post it. Doesn't matter if it's really a good story or if it's really a kill or if the car was fast...
I'm not insulting you or your car. Just be accurate and relevant. Love ya' buddy!

Hey H-Man. I know someone down near you with an S4 Avant that you could race. Then you could come back and tell the guys how you actually did race an S4. How about it?

In the S4 vs M3 vs C55 comps the S4 ALWAYS come in last for performance. I've owned A4,S4, S6, and still have an allroad, I love Audi's but you can't say the S4 competes because it doesn't. It is too heavy and the power loss due to Quattro hurts.
Now is it a fast car? Hell ya! it is a nice car? Absolutly! Does it compete, in its class for power, nope.

I mean, from the sound of it, you must of been right there, hell, maybe you were sitting in the passenger side of the 911 to know for sure what went down that night. Either that or you must of gotten your hands on that new transporter I saw on an infomercial the other night! The one that beams you into other peoples cars and allows you to give everyone the "REAL" scoop of the race! ...and if you call right now, they'll throw in a few good kill stories you can share with your friends, all for $19.99!
Thank goodness for you esfo...otherwise I would have seriously bit on the entire story myself! I'm glad you cleared the race up for us and for the one DRIVING the car. JACKASSS!
