My CLK vs. 360 Modena
Well, I lost.
Two runs...first one he was about two car lengths ahead at 45 mph, we both stepped on it. We took it to about 100 and he was still about 2 cars up.
Second run was from a stop. He jumped out about a car and a half...we took it to about 40 and he was up about 2, but from 40-80, I think I got him back to a car length...we came to the next light and that was it.
Fun stuff!
It is tuff to gage when he hit the gas the first run to start the race and when we both let off the second run due to the upcoming light. But, it is nice to know my little CLK can hang with a $160k ride.

1: He does, infact, have a supercharger or
2: The driver of the 360 was dumb as a brick
Take your pick.

I have no supercharger ( ), and perhaps the 360 was just playing. But it was a fun run anyway.
It did seem as if he was pushing it, especially at the stop light when my wife rolled down the window and called him a "*****" (that's my girl) before the second run. But, I guess I will never know.
His car is sure pretty!

Maybe he doesnt know how to use the clutch right. That would make a lot of sense. It still revs the engine up, but doesnt go fast. My neighbor with a Porsche turboX50 has one and I swear he revs at least 4-5k just to get up his driveway.

he revs up to get out of drive way in a porsche is because there is no torque in lower rpm. if the driveway is on a slant it's even more difficult. When a car has less lower end torque it need to be reved higher. thats probably the case.

The driveway is barely an incline. When a different neighbor had an ancient Civic, he could easily make it up the driveway with hardly any revving. Now, another neighbor has basically the same turbo porsche makes it up with hardly any trouble as well. If you heard him, you would get it.

haha maybe he doesn't know how to drive stick, first time I drove stick I was test driving and the seller was showing me how to drive stick. it was a 240sx He told me to rev to 3k then slowly let out the clutch slowly. I stalled it few times and I was wondering why stick is so hard. then another day a friend of mine was showing me how to drive stick in his jetta tdi. first thing he told me is just to let out the clutch, and i did. in the tdi i didn't even need to step on the gas i can let off clutch and it will feel like an auto. I thought that was really easy. I got the hang of it that time. the third time i drove stick it was a 91 jspec mr2 turbo. first thing i noticed is the torque isn't there and I will have to rev the car and if I just let out clutch slowly the car won't even move. So i guess every car is different and the way they are thought to drive the stick. that was long time ago for me and now I can drive stick much better. in another case maybe the guy just like to rev his porsche to show off remember that caynne commercial??
