ML55 foglight mod...
Anyone know of a way to bypass the relay or whatever controls the fog lights in an ML55?
ML55s foglights can only be turned on with headlights on... anyone know of the wire that would need to have power to give the foglights power when the headlights are off such as having them on with parking lights?
right now: Fog lights can be turned on with low beam headlight only
What I want: Fog light to be able to be turned on with parking light activation...
Who can help me?

i believe it should only be the ML's with the sport kit that dont have the ability to have foglights on with just parking lights... every other ML with out integrated fogs(Non Sport MLs 98-01) can turn on the fog lights with just parking lights on

fog lights on a "sport"
I just bought an oem bull bar from "peid" and it has really cool hella fogs and an oem connector to the existing lights.
Can I use this on my 2002 "sport" ? I don't want the big fogs to turn on from the "light my way home feature" - but I would like to use them when needed.
ANy ideas?

I just met with an MB Tech 5 minutes ago to getwork done on my ML and he said 2000 and above need to be brought in and reprogrammed by the computer to have fogs come on with just the parking lamps he said they will charge you unless you come in for something under warranty because then they have to hook you up so its just punching in a code

If you're talking about the integrated foglights; mine DO come on with the stalk in either the parking light mode or low beam mode. They cut off with high beam activation.
The rear fog bulb in the left rear brake light housing is only activated with low/high beam headlights...can not be activated with parking lights.
Have you had the green light enabled on your dash..this could possibly have an effect on your capability. BTW..mine is a 99 ML430 with H3's plugged into the holders in the main headlights and switch on dash and green light has been enabled........

peid........you stated in an earlier post that you had NON-integrated foglights.....that might have something to do with no green light..
and of course there is a two year difference between our ML's
and of course there is a two year difference between our ML's

They work fine, on low beam, green light on, high beam, they go out, but the green light stays lit on the dash.
Just no light on dash or actual H3 lights when in parking mode.
*EDIT* My GREEN DASH LIGHT works as designed. My fogs simply do not light up in parking mode, only low beam as designed.

You may need to have the bulb behind the dash put in mine did not come on eventhough the lights did because there was no bulb there its 10 min in stall by a tech and now it comes on when my fogs are one I have H3's in the headlights and the piaas on the bull bar both on the rocker switch on the dash
