Repainting the Hood and Front bumper
Hi
Throughout the last 2+ years the front of the truck has developed number of paint chips on the hood and front bumper. I decided to take care of it and repaint the hood and the bumper, also I bought a set of flairs need to be painted. I live in central Jersey around Freehold area; I’m looking for a body shop can do the work near by. If any one knew of a body shop in the area and had a good experience with please let me.
Thanks for your help

I would get my stuff painted at JMK BMW, why? Because I know the manager who's in charge of thier body shop and they do fantastic work for a reasonable price. Give him a call, tell him ViKTORiOUS from E46Fanatics.com sent you.
P.S. Where did you order your fender flares and how much did you get them for?

Can you send me there Tel #? Are they located near Central Jersey or in NY?
I got them of EBay for $267. They are the pre 2002 MY, I took a chance on them figuring if they did not fit I will offer them for sale for what I paid for. But they fit perfectly, on my 2002 ML. I need to by the extensions form the dealer for about $100.

No they are not neccesary, they just complet the look, but the flares look good without. I do not have a photo of the extensions. But I'll look around

After you get it painted, I'd recommend a bug deflector, at the very least. Yes, it looks ugly, but if you want better, get the clear bra. I had the 3M clear bra installed on my black ML after I bought it and it really helps. Earlier, I had a bugflector on my 02 320 - never really liked it but when I switched to a 05 500, I forked up the $$$$ to have the clear bra put on and I don't regret it one bit. To think that you have to repaint the front end of your truck pains me. However, I know what you mean becasue the front end of my 01 E430 looks very "used". I never had the bra on that one, and what a mistake. Anyway, food for thought.
