I know this is a mercedes site but...

i was looking at the H3 the other day and i am really falling in love with them and they are even getting a little more miles per gallon than my ml but here is the issue i am a huge mercedes fan and i love our emblems and i love when people kinda look at you different when you drive a mercedes. But i do not like the fact that the H3 is so cheap, well i do like that it is cheap but it makes me think that people will be looking at me as a wannabe like i could not afford the H2 and the H3 seems to be a growing trend and i really want to have something that not a lot of people have!
please reply with your thoughts and anything i should be worried about on an H3.

Oh and one more thing i have the GM discount because my grandfather retired from gm so the H3's MSRP would be around 24k with the discount!

Have you checked the H3 forums on their problems?

Your right about the stereotype. Unfortunately, it follows you, even in the H3, and the new stereotype is that you couldn't afford the H2.

no, h3's are awesome, and people don't see you as not being able to afford an H2, alot of people don't even know the difference and/or hate h2's and love h3's because of thier better gas mileage and smaller demensions, the interior of the H3 is HUGE and very comfortable, its not the fastest truck in the world but its O.K. I say buy one and post some pics if you do!!!!!

MPG+ ROLFCOPTER
Even with a family discount I wouldn't buy it. GMs have shown a tendency to loose value real fast due to company policies, rebates, etc.

When GM learns to build what the consumer wants and expects, then maybe their fortunes will reverse. But in the mean time they are still trying to shove their ideals down peoples throat.

One case in point; the GTO. Big hype, big money, no handling other than straight line for various reasons. A year later they increase hp, rework the handling, and those that believed, bought the first year model, are holding the bag with less.

This is just one example. There are plenty throughout the net.

no pathfinder. warranty is horrible, covers nothing unless you buy an upgraded one. and it has alot of rattles and oil consumption issues.

4runner is awesome. great build quality, very enjoyable.

family member went from pathfinder to 4 runner.

For Fuel efficiency, I'd suggest the japanses models...toyotas or hondas...

for superior style and comfort....nothing really beats the mercedes...once you get one (for me that is) you really don't want to drive anything else.

...and I've driven range rovers, BMWs, and lexus and nothings beats the comfort of my cushy ML!
