Does anyone know what brackets I will need to upgrade my plain ML320 bumper to a ML55 Bumper if any are needed? If anyone has done this mod please let me know how difficult it is as well. Thanks!

Two vertical brackets...
They clamp on the front metal bumper and allow you to mount the AMG cover that way...I believe they cost around 80 dollars at the dealer...
Once you have that part on you need to remove the special screw with backing plate thats on the stock bumper and use those to mount the sides of the AMG cover...The AMG cover does stick out a bit more so I think you may have to consider flares to go along with the bumper...

Thanks Pleubner!!! Very useful pics. How long does the retrofit take?
Your first links were not good.
Do I need to purchase all of the following brackets: You mentioned I only need 2 brackets, Are some of these on my ML320 and reusable? THANKS!!!!
A 163 880 16 14 (2 brackets)
A 163 880 03 16 (1 long bumper brace)
A 163 880 09 14 (L side bracket)
A 163 880 10 14 (R side bracket)

Actually you only need the vertical brackets ....
You can re-use the side parts you already have ... just remove the lower bolt or make an extra hole in the bracket .... the side brackets I listed are just "nice to have" since they are stiffer and hold the sode of the bumper better....
The brace is only needed if you want to also have headlight washers .... or optionally a stiffer bumper .... most retrofiter's leave this part out....
The 2 vertical brackets (..09 14, ... 10 14) are the only REAL "must have" for the front retrofit....
This link really shows every possible part (you might need extra pieces for the fog lamp mountings) ....

I bought all of them (stored in a box .... every bolt, bracket, clip, screw ,etc....) , but just haven't got around to taking pics of every piece ..... I yet need to do a detailed writeup .....

Thanks again Pleubner! I think I'm going to get the brace too. I may retrofit the washers as well.
Hey, do you know where I can get the fender flares, fog lights and rear bumper online? Nobody seems to sell ML55 parts. Dealers are Stealers...

Definately monitor ebay ..... (It's the only reasonable & cheap way to get the bumpers) .... they get listed quite often on the german ebay.
1. I have a fog light spare .....
2. I'm looking for the fender flares also!
3. I have 2x ML55 rear bumpers spare , but shipping to US would be prohibitive
PS: From those links I posted you can see pics of them.
Stay tuned for pics of the whole list of parts ......

Are one of your rear bumpers brilliant silver? How much would you sell it for? Also how much for the fog lights you have?

2 of them are silver ..... but that won't help you very much since they are scratched (all second hand ones need repainting) .... and like I said shipping to US (ouch!) .....

If they are only scratched and not broken or cracked, I can get them refinished and repainted... Give me a good price.

Almost all secondhand AMG ML bumpers are cracked somewhere at the lower edge .... usuially where the hitch plug goes in , or where the exhaust covers are attached .... this is because the AMG bumper is very narrow at this point and will twist easily.
I have a professional plastic bumper welding tool from leister that can weld (melt and fuse) the bumper so that it exactly the same as a new one.
Today's bumpers are made from composites that can be melted and reformed unlimited times. You can even melt the bumper down into granuals or rods to use in repairing other bumpers.
