rear rotors and pads
i guess it's time for the job, got to change rear rotors and pads for a 01 ml 430. i did search over here but if anyone have any idea about the best thing to go with please let me know. last time i did the pagid pads and brembo for the front and it just work fime for me, but if you guys tried other better things please let me know and should i go for the drilled one or no?
thank you in advance
I have used Pagid mostly and they are fine, but dirty. I think dirty is good though, soft pads wear fast but brake well.
I have drilled rotors up front, but wouldn't bother back aft. You don't really need them in either place, but I figure Benz puts them on the high end models, so how bad can it be?
I took this picture with the rotor removed so you can see what you have to do inside the rotor, because you can't see any of this when the rotor is in place.

Relative to the usability of B's tip, I am speaking from ignorance here as I have had the dealer do my brakes and rotors.
B also stated the brand he uses, so it appears that he gave some good info to J.
Darkmann, you're one of the highly-active contributors here. This doesn't seem like your normal response, particularly if you look at the post counts for these two. BeachAssault is a relative newbie and is enthusiastically contributing to the forum, unlike what you and I have just done.
Dude: That's the most clueless post I've seen in years.
I thought I was BeachAssault, and if you were actually referring to the original post, well I thought I answered the question fairly completely. Perhaps beyond even your mortal comprehension. Grow a clue.
