Brake Question
I have a 2000 ML320. It's about time to get the brake pads changed (first time). Got the pads from internet for about $170 (front and rear pads + sensors).
One quick question.... do I need to have the rotors re-surfaced when changing the pads? I have heard someone said that MB rotors don't need to be re-surfaced. Is this correct?
Many thanks in advance!!
Thanks a bunch.
Thanks,
Steve
Is it easy to change the pads, or just like a regular car maybe? Im right about to have a friend of mine whos more profriceint with things like this then i am, anything we should know?
Thanks,
Steve

Is this true? I thought you needed 1 for each one.
Thanks

hey all, again. im buying some brake pad and rotors online from ebay. i bought the rotors 4 for $200 even, and im right about to get the pads, 175 for 4. I asked him about the sensors he said he would (he being the guy that sold me the pads and the rotors) give me 2 for $5.00. I said i was doing all four wheels he said you only need 1 sensor for the front, and 1 for the back.
Is this true? I thought you needed 1 for each one.
Thanks
Steve
You want one per wheel because if a piston sticks on a wheel that doesn't have a sensor you are SOL.
