2001 ML320 Window roll down but not up

2001 ML320 Window roll down but not up
This just started happening, the rear-driver's window will roll down but it won't go up with either switch. I tried the main console and also the button on the rear seat, but nothing happens, not even a noise telling me something is wrong. Since both switches have the same effect I assume is not the button failing, the motor on the window seems to work as it rolls down, any idea what else could be the problem?

Sounds like it is the window motor. It may seem odd but if it will go down and not up that is definitely the problem. Going down basically doesn't take much power at all...going up does. I had this happen on several previous cars I have owned.
If you need a new motor I am parting out my 2000 ml55 and I could also tell you or direct you to where there are write-ups on how to do it. Not too hard to do just takes a little patience.

OK, I can take motor as the source of the problem. You are right, just because it works when going down doesn't mean the motor is not the issue. How much will you be willing to take for the motor? (...and yes, I would like to have instructions as well). Thanks,

As for the directions, I can print it out from my service manual and send with the motor. Also, I can probably find some links for you on here somewhere.
Forgot to mention, I guarantee mine works and if it doesn't work for you I will refund you completely if you send back. Therefore you won't be out more money than you have to be. However I would almost bet money that the motor is the issue as long as you are getting some power. In the meantime, push the button up and pull up with your hand to get it to go/stay up for now.

This is strange, I just happened to try to close the window this morning and it did work. It looks like it is not the window motor after all but a connection to it. The windows open and closes like nothing happened, this is very strange.

You are not a decent person. I hope you can sleep at nights because I can. I will try to sell the motor on eBay or maybe on this forum, but I will never rip-off anybody. Hope you enjoy the way you are because otherwise, you won't be able to sleep at night, will you?

Ouch. I would say come on man. The guy has a a whole garage full of parts he's got to get ride of. It would cost to ship it back, you'd take probably a $15 hit on it... try to resell it here... you never know when someone else will need it... or you're motor may be failing.... you might need it in a month.
