This is a transmission code and refers to problems with two valves in the conductor plate. Both valves are wired through what is called the 13 pin connector which is on the right side (passenger) of the transmission.

Remove the small heat shield that covers it. Slide the bayonet clip open and separate the two halves. If there is fluid between the two then the connector must be replaced. Refer to the link below for a photo and part number. Do not buy this part on-line as the o-rings are not the same size as required. Only buy from the dealer, less than $20.

https://mbworld.org/forums/5073189-post30.html

Then after the repair has been made you must find a mechanic who has a professional grade scanner and he must:

1. Remove the P0748 code from the Eng. Control Module.

2. Then remove any and all three digit codes in the Trans. Control Module.

If this is not done you will continue with receiving codes and driveability problem will result.

Remember both the ECM and TCM codes must be cleared separately.

Does anybody know if the issue was corrected by the OP? I have this same issue p0748on a 2010 e350 722.9 tranny.
Checked K1 solenoid and all the others and they are fine resistance 5.2ohms. They click with 12v applied. Not much else to check. Flushed system. Cannot get rid of code p0748. Thanks in advance if anyone responds.

Maybe but my only interest is how the OP solved the original issue. I have another post in the right forum.

The issue can only be solved by changing the plate. In my case I changed the valve body and plate together. Also the bolts are aluminum and need changing. Bought a used 2018 model on EBay that matched the one I replaced. Then you have to get it programmed to your car and adapted.
Once you do that it will take care of your problem guaranteed.
I already did all the tests to k1, complete flush, solenoids cleaning etc. Nothing worked. Plate and valve body 400 plus programming 250. Plus bolts and gasket with filter kit.Got off easy doing the swap myself.

your MB-Xentry, has very details in explanations..
Here is icarsofts explanation of the p0430 code.. (lookup catalyst system efficiency below thereshold bank 2 (nothing more)..

I totally get these are two different machines with each having there own different algorithms. obviously controlled by two different price points..

I just tried to revert back to the original version software(the update does not have any other versions), also did hard reset on the unit and still the same, so i can safely assume its probably the version that it
came with. I looked up icarsoft site for software versions, but came up empty..

When code first came up, i started to check for emissions leaks, when i remove the air intake inside the airfilter and i found about 10" piece of bicycle tubing. that i must have left behind and it got suck into the airtake tube. The car actually runs fine, no drop in fuel consumption, idles fine, no misfire, car still gets up and move when pedal to the metal.. So i would like to at least erase the cel code to do a drive cycle, but thats where im stuck..
