I just purchased a 20002 ML320 with sports pacakge and 17" wheel.
Wondering if ML55 brake (front and rear ) caliper will fit ?

Yes you can if you also want to replace the rotors, steering knuckles and brake hoses.

 

To add to Maj.Dundee's list, yours rims most probably 99,9% will need changing as well. I doubt very much 17" ML320 rims will accomodate the huge ML55 caliper. So you will need 18" AMG rims. If you prefer other 18" rims make sure the caliper fits before buying them.

How about the rear ? Is it a direct swap ? Just calipers and brake lines, rotors and pad ?

I source out all the parts need for front.
Knuckles, brake lines, calipers, rotor and pads.

But found out there is a split year change for 2002 Ml55. Which calipers should I purchases ? Is the knuckles different ? For early 2002 and late 2002 ?

I forgot to ask you a question. Why are you doing all this? Whats the point? I am sure there are other parts on your car that genuinly need your attention & revamping.
Do you think that the ML320 breaks are unadequate?

 

I resident half of my time in Taiwan. Found a 2002 Ml320 less than 50kkm on it.
And I also found a 2002 ML500 spare parts for cheap . So need help listing all the part I need and ship it back to Taiwan.

All my cars have brembo BBK and I do not want to spend that much on this car.
By changing the knuckles I can also chage out new bushings also.

Paint the caliper black. Allow rotors and pads from EBC.

 

Update

Got it installed, no spacer needed and 17" wheel fitted without any problem. Now need to bed in the brake pads.
