I knoweverything there is to know about the ML
The other concern is The audio system, got the old classic no sound and cdc not reading, how can i tell if the problem lies in the fiber optics or in the cdc, or even the amp? A lil lost here and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe you can help me with some issues on my 98' 320. We've had this car for over 10 years and it has been very reliable. Most problems it has had have been minor. The 320 has about 160K miles on it. Here are it's current problems:
1. Keeps blowing the 10 amp fuse that supports the overhead info center, vanity lights, glove box light and ashtray light. It blows at random times. A new one could last a week or just a couple of days.
2.The radio quits after going over large bumps sometimes. It comes back later though. Maybe just a lose connection at the radio I suppose.
3.Auto dimming mirror on off light no longer works. I did not see a fuse that supports it and I have not checked for power at the mirror.
4.The engine turns over quite a few times before starting if you let it sit more than a couple of minutes after turning it off. If you crank it right away after turning it off it starts instantly.
1) on every other try, the right hand turn signal will not cancel. I can live with it, but is this a common problem and difficult repair?
2) Is there anything special I should be checking or looking out for at 70k miles? The vehicle came with detailed service records (a real plus). Recently replaced cd player, radiator and power steering hoses under extended warranty (glad I got one).
3) What's your opinion on transmission fluid changes? Is is worth the hassle and expense or should I just risk "lifetime" fill?
4) Is there a source other than the MB DVD (instructions) for brake pad replacement and spark plug replacement (I like to do my own soon)?
Hope I'm not too greedy with the questions but could not resist. Thanks in-advance for the advise. PS: My wife loves driving this "tank." Feels smooth, safe and powerful.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I attempted to restart but NO power. No instrument light, door locks, windows, radio and et. Dead, Dead, Dead.
I found the two fuse panel locations and found one two fuses blown and replaced. But nothing, still dead.
I got one of those 12v light testers and saw my battery had power.
I then went to the fuse panel in the engine and took the cover off and found where the battery cable was coming in and I had power to it.
I found I fuse there (of the two blown ones) and replaced and still dead. No power.
Any suggestions???
Need Help badly.
i have a 2001 ml320 it giveing me so much problems , i was driving an my truck slide like i was on ice ,i try to press the braks no braks. the next day i took it to the dealer to get it check an thier told
me it was the Stop Lamp got it fix after a few days the same thing happen i don't know what to do help me.
I read that the panels are plastic which have high elasticity and thus the thin laquer gets cracks and flakey due to prolonged exposure to heat and cold.
I found that light sanding with a fine sanding block (120#) and then hard rubbing with very fine steel wool (elbow grease) will remove the flaking paint and make the panels look pretty good.
Issue: several days ago the heater would only "heat" no matter where the temp dial was set. Next day it was ok. Day before wife noticed a ticking sound when the temp dial was on "circulate - full rotate to left and two click up from this. Heat seemed to vary based on where the dial was moved. Today I can not get any heat going to work. No ticking noise.
What is the best way to self diagnose this? I bought the car used and have driven it almost 80K and the wife keeps it looking like the day we bought it. Have spent some money at the dealer but want to keep it to a minimum if I can.
Thanks.
