05 ml 350 cabin filter cover screw
Hi guys,

does anybody know the hex wrench bolt size to screw the screw for the cabin filter cover.

What screw? There is none. Just undo the latch.

mine does not have the latch, it has a screw in the place of the latch.

That looks like a 10mm. But, I dont think you are looking in the correct place. Look for the latch. They all come with a latch.

OEM they come with a latch that some others mentioned. My ML55 didnt, it has a regular screw. I think in your case, the provious owner lost the latch or it broke and was replaced with this bolt. I bought mine second hand, so i assume the owner broke/lost that latching thingy.

it connect to the filter holder, just use a wrench of proper size to undo it. Its low stress so use the same one to put it back on, or replace with OEM latch or any other screw.

The damage on the plastic is from someone using a wrench (too big)

if you post your VIN i can look up your specific car using the official MB Workshop manuals if you want to confirm.

They made a change as of 2003, eliminated the latch and replaced with two screws.
