Ml270cdi B1040-001 error

hi everyone
I am new in here and really help some help.
I had a Ml270 2000 in Australia.
2 months ago, the turbo stop working but the car drive perfectly fine. After I connect to a scanner to it and i find out that the MAF sensor is faulty, once I replace that, the car back to normal with the turbo working again. But there is still 1 error code B1040-001 AAM, it said something about the ETS CAN bus.
since the car working fine, so I leave it as it is.

but not very long after that, the turbo stop working again. this time the scanner said there are turbo leak and the Flap motor on the intake manifold is faulty. So I replace the whole intake manifold and the motor, and now the car working fine again. but the B1040-001 is still there.

Can anyone help me about this B1040? thank you very much.

Ken, code B1040 relates to a CAN problem between one or more modules listed in the attachment.

On the surface it should not have anything to do with the turbo but we have no diesel wiring diagrams to check.

Thanks Maj,

I think this code have nothing to do with the turbo too.
Because the car is running perfectly fine and i cannot find anything wrong with the car. I try to clear the code but it come back on straight away.
Very strange.

And you are saying that when this code appears, the turbo stops working?

Then it is what they call a "ghost code" with your code reader. Your system must be scanned with a M/B scanner.
