How to turn on factory integrated fogs without turning on headlights?

How to turn on factory integrated fogs without turning on headlights?
I'm trying to enable it so that whenever I turn on the parking lights, the fog lights come on too. Another option is installing another switch so that I can turn on the fog lights whenever I please. If anyone has done this before and can provide detailed explanation and/or pictures, that'd be great.
Thanks in advance

Fog light wiring
I have not done this, but it should be fairly straightforward if you have any electrical ability. You will need an aftermarket fog light installation kit. Most companies like Bosch, Hella and PIAA have these. It includes a relay, wiring harness and switch.
You hook the relay directly to the battery for a power source. You would cut the positive feeds to the fog lights and hook the relay output to these. For switching, you can either tie directly into the parking light wiring, or route the same through an interior switch (preferred).

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
04RexSti, dont take this the wrong way...but if youre not electrically inclined, and havent done it before, youre better off letting a pro do it. it shouldnt cost any more than 50-75.

By the way, on my '98 there is a dash switch for the rear fogs that can also be prgrammed to operate the front fogs with only the parking lights on. Do newer models still have this?

Interesting. I have read the manual for my MY02 front to back but have not noticed this feature. Ho do you program the system to work that way? Please post. Thanks.

The dealer has to program it. The dash switch operates the rear fogs when you press the bottom and front fogs when you press the top. It was probably changed by '02.

That's exactly how my 02 fogs operate. However, they come on only when the headlamps are on (manual mode - MY02 has an Auto mode headlight switch, and the fogs don't come on when Auto is on. This was changed for MY03+ to allow fogs in auto mode). Are you the saying that is may be possible to have mine programmed so that the fogs come on w/out the headlight coming on? That's cool, I have to find out. It may turn out to be a non-US option. I hope not!!!

Same here as well. Just the parking lights need to be on. Sorry, but I wish I had a pic to show you.
