Recommend a good extended warranty

Recommend a good extended warranty
We bought a 2000 ML320 with 52k. It came with a 60 day dealer warranty and for the past 23 days of the 30 days we have owned it, it has been at the dealer off and on getting an air conditioning problem fixed. So we are a bit worried about the long term of this car and would like to purchase an extended warranty.
Which warranties do you all recommened? I am looking for one that covers "electrical" issues with good detail.
Thanks!
BTW- anyone know what the deal is about "returning" a car to a dealer? We love the car and all, but the car has been at the dealer 23 out of the 30 days we have owned it! What kind of recourse do we have in CA?

ML320
I'd try to return it.
Two weeks ago today I bought a 2000 ML320 with just under 22k miles.
It was Starmarked by MB (1 yr warranty) and I purchased another 2 yrs on top of that for approx $1,500. (I'll have a warranty until 8/2007 or 100k miles.)
The only reason I got near a 2000 W163 is because of the warranty.
Good Luck.

In the past i've used Wynn's extended warranty and have been happy with their services. They do cover 'some' electrical parts, and you can buy it from almost any dealer.
I think there is a 'no cooling off period' in CA which means that you can't expect the dealer to take it back at the same price. Now, with this kind of history and some legal help, who knows?
You might want to take a look at nolo.com
Have you checked the record history for this car with MB? even carfax? maybe it's already known as a lemon.

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
honestly, i would try to sell it. any aftermarket warranty is not trustworthy unless it is starmark or daimler chrysler, but unfortunately these are not available to you cause of your mileage.

I think the cut off is 48K for daimler chrysler and 40k for factory. Just give Lisa a call and I'm sure she will try to get you in. Do a search for "Lisa" and Warranty you will find her number.

From a posting at Edmunds.com Mercedes Benz forum (Msg # 3670):
"For excellent pricing on MB extended warranties I suggest you contact Lisa Lehrbaum at Courtesy Motors (800) 655-3535."
E-MAIL: lisamarie@lehrbaum.net

https://mbworld.org/forums/sh...um&pagenumber=4
but after more reading it seems that
"...Make sure, that you do NOT pass the first 12 months. After that, NO MB extented, only other vendors with potential hassle: You pay for repair and collect from your vendor X...."
So back to stage one, if you pass the first 12 months you got to go through a 3rd party vendor, so the question is again, which one is the best?

2007 E350/2001 SLK320
Bought a 01 ML, brand new from the showroom floor in 01, had 62 repairs (electrical, stalls, regulators) complained, complained, complained to the right folks in NJ - MB replaced it with a E320. Initially I thought the E would be as bad as the ML - in short the E has had 2 broken cup holders, 3 visor mirrors, new rotors 200 miles after delivery. Now it seems I've had them it(I guess we've corrected all the manufacturing probs) it's a decent car.
GET OUT OF THAT ML, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE..!!!!!!!!!
