I went with the black powder coated side steps and bull bar over the chrome ones and absolutely love them! So glad I didn't get the chrome ( no offense to those that do have it). Chrome looks great on other colors than mine IMHO. I will take a picture later when I get home and post so you can see the example. My ML is black with the factory 17" wheels chromed and just thought it would be a bit excessive to continue down the "chrome road".

I bought my black Manik nerf bars on Ebay for about $240 delivered, and installed them myself. Pretty easy job.

I had a set of Maniks on my black 320 - I took the steps off before selling the truck. They're just sitting in my garage. If interested, send me a PM. As much as I want to sell them, I must warn you that the OEM fits and looks a lot better than the Maniks. Here's a pic:

Sorry for the bad lighting but it has been raining all week here in Vegas. The 2 pics are of the side steps and the matching front bull bar. I will take some more pics in the light tomorrow when I have the ML and the wifey drives the other car.

I grabbed these pictures from another site. I hope the owners don't mind me posting their pics here. Just forget the BLING and concentrate on the step bars. These shots don't focus directly on the step bars but notice how they "hug" the rocker area. Also note the curvature at the ends. The newer bars actually have raised "stepping" portions at the door entrance.
