visit cardomain.com and search for the M-Class, and you'll see a couple ML's on 22's. As for fitment, if you use a low enough profile, you shouldnt have any problems.

I posed a similar question here a while ago and was offered the opportunity to install 22's and 20's for ride comparisons. They both fit fine and looked good. The 22's reduced my stopping ability by quite a bit and offered a bumpier ride, though it wasn't terrible since the suspension is pretty good. The 20's however offered me the best ride. It seemed like I still had the same 60mm side wall. The tires are 275/45/20 versus 285/35/22 for the 22 inch wheels. that extra rubber makes a noticeable difference.

I know others will disagree, but I'd go with 20's.

No I don't, sorry. I went with the 20's. I only had the 22's on for a few minutes while I evaluated how they looked/performed on the ML(at the wheel shop).

They installed some aftermarket brand wheels made by UWC. I think they were called "type 10". They had 6 split spokes and were hypersilver with a polished lip. They looked like the monoblock VI wheels. Pretty nice for aftermarket I must say...
