It seems fairly flawed though when you try to build the car.

You're right about that. Not too easy to use. It will still let you pick optional 19" wheels with the AMG p[ackage which has 19" wheels. Still haven't figured out a way to get the sport seats with Alcantara either. That seems like a natural combination.

I sure hope that the rear side airbags are standard. If you ask me this is one of the many things that had set Mercedes apart from other car companies out there since the rear airbags are even standard on a damne C class of all things. I hope its a typo of somesort.

I think it is still under construction, hence why it hasn't been officially posted on the website.

Rear side airbags are optional on the ML350 as well as Tele Aid. I think it was in an effort to reduce the vehicles MSRP.

MB Tech--AMG Sport Package?

Since you seem to have some inside knowledge--a couple questions:
1. The AMG Sport Package does not list any interior upgrades--are there noe in the package? An earlier euro list had some.
2. If not, how do you get sport seats w/ Alcantara, sport pedals, aluminum trim and other "sport" interior options with the AMG package? The Appearance Package which contains these items cannot be ordered with the AMG one.

Thanks,

Greg

Hey Greg,

For the moment it would seem you are correct, even MBUSA.com states that those options are not available with the AMG Sport Package (Which looks very cool in person) and I am some what surprised that their not available. Those are the types of options an AMG buyer would want. I will check with a source and get back to this tread in a couple of days with more complete information.

I would venture to guess that this in only for MY2006, since things are hectic at start of production and will probably not be the case for MY2007.

Greg-

It would seem that you cannot get the sporty options with the AMG package. I guess the E-Class also has the same issue when ordering - doesn't make sense to me but it must make sense to someone.
