Air Suspension
Could those of you with Air Suspension equipped W164's please provide some feedback on your impressions of the ride and handling improvements? I have an '06 E350 with Air Suspension and would say it is a bit better than the standard set-up. Not sure the $1,750 option on the ML350 is worth it though. Thanks,

Have had mine now for a bit over a month. I am enjoying the air suspension and feel that it really improves the ride and handling. No problems with it at all. I usually leave it in comfort mode around town and sport mode on the road. Have played with the raise function and while it works fine I really do not know if I will ever have to use it. Worth the money?? Yes!!

The 'comfort ' mode, as the name suggests, is the most comfortable ride, and it really soaks up the bumps. If you try and drive fast around the twisting lanes where I live, the handling is awfull until you switch to 'sport' mode. If you are the type of driver that wants an easy life the 'Normal' mode will be acceptable for most road conditions.
In my book, a worth while option to choose.

in my opinion airmatic is a must. In comfort- mode on the highway and in the city the car becomes S- class- like. In Sport mode while you drive fast in narrow curves you won't believe you are sitting in a heavy SUV. The car acts like an expensive, german allwheeldrive Station wagon. Without the airmatic the car is only good. By choosing the airride it becomes marvelous. The most complete car I ever drove. And don't forget the 3,15 inches more of groundclearance you can use when you go off-road
