Picked up my US-Spec ML320 CDI

This is the most patriotic SUV on the market if I am not mistaken. American made, and it helps to reduce the dependecy on foreign oil.
Does MBUSA say that you can or cannot use Biodiesel?
What type of mileage on the hwy and city are you seeing?

Supposedly, 50 states will be able to get the new deer pee (aka, BlueTec) CDI. The question is which 2 states won't? I know Kalifornia will be one because they've also been ****-retentive about what they think is "green". The only question is who else is that absurd. My guess is either the PRofMA or NJ....

So who are the unlucky 2 states? CA and MA? :-P
ken
We ordered with Premium 3, AMG Package, Parktronic (MBUSA website says its not available with AMG, but ours is equipped with both), Rear-seat entertainment (Not as nice as I had hoped, but I have had issues with aftermarket installs...), heated seats and some other small stuff I can't remember.
I haven't romped on it (going to follow recommended break-in), but the torque advantage over other SUV's is clearly apparent.
Pics to follow shortly.
Good choice. I am exactly in the same position - have a Touareg 2004 - and want to get the ML320 CDI. Did the Mercedes dealer took your Touareg as part of the deal? If yes, would you mind giving me an idea how much they valued it?
By the way, lousy experience with the Touareg and also VW of America... Don't want to have anything to do with these guys ever again!
Thanks
Miguel

The ML is a much better vehicle overall. It doesn't have the outright acceleration the Touareg had, but it has better torque that gives a more relaxed response, unlike the T-Reg where you have to rev it higher and deal with the terrible drive-by-wire hesitation/jerkiness.
I've heard that MB was going to offer the ML320 CDI with a "two-speed transfer case as part of an off-road package that also includes locks for the center and rear differentials."
Is this available now? If not, anyone know when it will be?
Thanks!
