2008 ML Brochure Confusion
Just got my hands on a 2008 ML brochure. On the equipment listing page (Page 32) it says that Leather Upholstery is standard on the ML550 and Artico Leather is standard on ML350. On the MB website, it says that MB Tex is standard on both the ML350 and ML550. 
Also, on the 2008 brochure it says that the Interior lighting package is standard on the ML550 (optional on ML350). This is not the case on the website...on the build configurator, the interior lighting is part of the add-on Interior Appearance Package.
On the brochure it also says that Parktronic is standard on the ML550 as well as some other items. This is not the website. Can someone please shed some light on this? What's the deal here?

Also might want to keep in mind that although using brochures and the website to try and verify options ect. is a good idea, the only real way to find out if certain things are available is to have a dealership pull up an order form. Options are always subject to change, but the website is usually really good at updating.

However beware when ordering leather that the MBUSA configurator will add around $1,500.00 more than the actual cost. I know other member have wrote about other bugs as well.

That's explained up front though. Once you click leather it tells you in the bottom right hand corner about your selection and how much it will add. Its also explained under the About metallic paint, special orders, and upholstery charges link at the bottom left hand corner.

Beware of the online build-your-own configurator. At the time I was using it (about 6 weeks ago) it was full of errors. It had a problem with Parktronic and then later had a problem with Distronic.
I called and they fixed the Parktronic problem but never fixed the Distronic problem. Maybe they have by now.
Anyway, the only way to really know what is available is to have a dealer do the configuration.

The brochure is full of errors - at least in the US. They also stated that you can't get a wood/leather steering-wheel on the ML63 but you can.
As far as Distronic goes: On the ML63 my dealer punched into the OnStar configurator, the system accepted my Distronic-order. That was on 10/31/07.
