All Weather Mats

Hi All,

Just ordered my ML350 P2 in Silver with the Running Boards. Seems like the 08 comes standard with the appearance package these day. The car came with 19" wheels and the silver grill. P2 gives me the front and rear skid plates which look great.

Anyway, with winter upon us I see there are two options for all weather mats, the basic and full liners. Anyone have experience with either and pics would be sooo appreciated.

Thanks!

The choice is up to you. However, one word of advice do not choose the light colored mats. Get black!! The others are almost impossible to clean. I tossed my tan ones and replaced with black.

I hear you on getting Black. I ordered the charcoal interior purposely.

Basically I want something that will stay put. I hate when these rubber mats move all over the place.

98 ML = black mats
05 SL = beige
08 ML = black

Beige mats get dirty very easily and hard to clean...the black ones from my 98 ML still look like new...

I'm not sure about liners/mats but the liners are more expensive
I've had no problems with the mats moving around etc. but I wouldn't mind trying the liner

I have the std all weather mats as I previously stated. They snap in place so they do not move around. Even if the snaps are not engaged they still do not move around. I believe you will be pleased with them.

I have the full liners and use them in the winter when the weather gets inclement. These are great as they contain any melted snow or rain and you woun't have to worry about the interior getting wet or damaged at all.

They even go up the sides of the foot wells a bit so they protect the carpet on the sides as well.

I use these in the winter and regular MB rug mats in the summer and vacume regularly.

Black is the way to go although the road salt will turn them white, I just rinse them off or wash in the utility sink once a week and am good to go.

Good Luck

i had the full liners first because i thought it was a good idea to have the extra lip height.

what i found was getting in and out of the car became a hassle. my foot would always catch the bottom and scrape against it.

i returned it and got the other rubber mats

thanks. That is the info I need. Sounds like the standard mats are the way to go.

I have had no problems with the lip on mine. They stay in place just fine for me. Either way I guess you'll be fine. I just feel better with the added protection. Decisions, decisions..

I got grey mats. They get dirty so fast. I wish I got black instead.

I got black, but i am not sure if the lips are high enough on the MB all wx mats. If I had to do it over I might get aftermarket with a higher edge. The tray for the rear is fine though.
