Tunes for the 320 Bluetec?
Hi guys.
We recently picked up an '09 ML Bluetec and I've heard some talk about tunes for it that can add significant hp and even provide better gas mileage.
I've heard of the KD box from Kleemann, and also understand that there are similar offerings from Brabus and Renntech.
If anyone has any experience with these products, I would greatly appreciate some insight. I've heard talk of up to a 50 hp jump, and if it's true, I'd look at this right away, instead of new shoes.
Thanks in advance!

Yes it does of course use the urea. Can you clarify why the KD Box wouldn't work? My understanding is that the Bluetec is only involved as part of the exhaust process. Basically that the urea is sprayed in to the exhaust at the end stage, so how would this affect a computer tune?
Thanks!
Thanks!

09 E320 Bluetec
when i bought my 09 E320 Bluetec i thought it had urea injection and emailed kleemann usa to see if the kd box will work with urea injection. this is what they said to me about urea injection.
im lucky my 09 E320 doesnt have urea injection so im getting the KD box soon.

I do not have an ETA for the availability of any parts for that car and can only suggest you check back to our WWW.

I am a bit confused though? If your E320 is a Bluetec, how does it not have urea injection? I thought that "Bluetec" was simply the trade name for the urea injection process?
P.S. I just looked back at the Kleemann website and they do list Bluetec as being vehicles that they can tune.

E-class bluetec's wont get urea injection unitl the redesign of the E class(2010 model) all other bluetec engines 09+ will have urea injection. so kleemann's website is correct they do have the kd box for only some bluetec engines
