These OEM parts are expensive - any good sources for discounted US Mercedes parts - I checked one place and these are $300 each!

I ordered my front OEM spoiler from this website, for almost half the price of the dealer cost. Very fast delivery and the shipping price was good.

Is your 09 ML a European Model or a US Model as there would appear to be differences in model years between the US and European models. My ML is a 2009 US Model manufactured in 09/2008

So happy i found this thread.

I was gonna go to benz and buy the OEM tail lights but i was afraid they werent plug and paly.

I have a 2009 ML63 fully loaded with Xenon headlights, but halogen tailights.

Will the LED OEM tailights be plug and play?

i replied to your thread on the other forum, but just FYI, if you have a 2009+ and you don't have LED tails, then you don't have OEM Xenon headlights either

Hey ninjajim4, thanks for the reply and help.

From what i know, the 2009 ML63 AMG come standard with the 'lighting package' wich include the OEM xenon headlights, but i think there was a small cutoff in 2009 where the LED taillight werent included on earlier models..

But would the same remain even with the light package, that i would need to reporgram the SAM even if i had the lighting package or OEM xenons?

bad luck for you if it's true. if you do have the lighting package but not LED tail lights, it implies that your vehicle was made before those parts were available.

would they put it in an LED capable SAM unit before the LED tails were even being installed into vehicles? i would guess probably not and the SAM needs to be upgraded too -- but again, just guessing

might as well check the part number before you do anything however. the unit is very easy to get to in the trunk panel on the right side. i don't think you even need a screw driver.

good luck..!

if you have the old version, you need to buy the updated physical hardware. it is not a firmware update or anything like that, unfortunately.

if you do have the right version, then you STILL need to get someone to switch the modes from conventional tail light to LED tail light. if you have a cool dealership they might do this for you, but i've seen others on this board not be so lucky. i have a good independent mechanic who did this for me for free (though he got a pretty nice tip for my appreciation).
