It definitely looks less like a whale than before, and I like that panoramic sunroof. But typically Cayennes are more expensive than comparable ML models.

We test drove a 2008 Cayenne (I KNOW ITS NOT THE 2011!) and the ride was far to harsh for our needs (compared to the ML). Anything less than the "S" trim is also a waste of money, IMO.

People say they are comparable vehicles... but when we compared the two, it seemed each appealed to a totally different market. Not sure if it will change for the 2011 model, but I don’t think the ML and Cayenne are in the same category if you actually drive and really inspect both.

With that said – if it was MY choice, and my DD not the wifes, we would have the 08 Cayenne S Titanium edition sitting in the driveway, not the ML… but then our new baby might get some whiplash!

I have looked at these a number of times during my ownership of a number of ML's. My take is that they are smaller, have numerous issues, do not get the same level of dealer support and service that I get on my ML's and the styling is lacking. Dash looks like a 50's DeSoto!.Every time I have looked I reach the same conclusion that the ML is far superior.

I would take it over a ml550 if you want a sport suv - the v8 model that is. They are supposed to have a diesel using the 3L tdi from VW/Audi

I like the changes to the front and interior, but I cannot stand the rear end.
