Update foglights with LED's or HID's??
I just changed out my halogens on my ML320 to the Mtec HID 6000k Xenons and they look awesome. Now of course I feel the need to do something about the Fog lights. What have you guys done - installed a H11 type HID kit (expensive) and possibly difficult installation, or simply replaced bulb with an LED bulb? I would like both lights to match as much as possible. And YES, I like to drive with my fogs on as well!
thanks guys!

Thx Benzo. I ended up ordering a complete HID conversion kit from DDM Tuning for around $50! It will be 6000k, same as my low beams. Can't wait to see what it will look like and how it will perform! The contrast now between HID and the stock fogs looks hideous!

I am thinking about buying the DDM kit as well. Did you go with 35 watt or 55 watt kits? Someone raised the concern that a 55 watt kit in the fog lights might create too much heat. If you go with the 35 watt kit in the fog lights I believe you have to order the error eliminator as the stock fog lights draw 55 watts. Plesae let us know how the install goes and if there are any issues. Thanks.

All of the clips included should do the job. The only quirk I guess is that the brown factory M/B wire goes to the black wire side of the clip and the yellow to the red side. The rest was "plug-n-play"....

I was too.....All of the clips I ever received or heard others speak of have all been male / female and were virtually error proof. The only hang up was getting power to the ballast, which was the vehicle's yellow and brown wire that the factory headlight bulb clip to.

you re-use the metal ring that held the factory bulb in. It twists clockwise to lock it. It is top/bottom specific, the "dog ear" tabs go down, not up. It just about brought me to tears when I did mine.
