Water in fire wall ?
I tried the search feature to no avail. After the heavy downpours last night I get in the truck drive to work make a right hand turn and I hear "sloshing" of water in the firewall right near the drivers side hood vent.Is their a drain hole somewhere that is possibly plugged ? If so , can someone point me to its general location ? TIA.

There was a recent thread on a similar topic. The poster there talked about water gathering on the passenger side though. Still may be worth reading: https://mbworld.org/forums/m-class-w...-freezing.html
I think there may be a clogged drain under that water.

ml500 sloshing noise under instrument panel
I have a sloshing noise due to the water in the cross member under the windshield.
Couse: Incomplete seam sealant at the "A" pilar where it meets the cross member under the windshield...... According to the Technical Service Bulletin.
Any one has had any problem and was it solved successfully?

I don't know the service bulletin # for the GL model ... This is the only service Bulletin for ML DTB # T-B-62.25/09b"what I found. ....First I called the Mercedes service, explained the problem and refereed to the Service Bulletin number. He ignored my "home work" and kept repeating that this is not a recall and he dos not find any service bulletin about this problem... After this one... I figured I rather to give the business to an independent service than wasting my energy with a Mercedes service adviser.... After a short phone conversation with an independent car repair shop's adviser, he puled the "Prodemand" and find the technical service bulletin imminently. So today I dropped off my car to his service for repair. I let you know the result.

Now it being a TSB is another story. And all a TSB does it identifies a flaw and how to fix it. If your car is out of warranty then your SOL.
Water in firewall
Have the same problem with my 2010 GL450 so this problem seems to have existed for a long time on different models. My dealer is quoting $1,700 to repair what sounds like a Mercedes production problem they will not recall. Is this correct? If so, is there any real threat of damage to the car if I do not agree to the repair?
