Question ML350 without roof rack?

hi, i just bought ML350 4matic 2007 and just realize that this car doesn't have roof rack, not like my current ML320 (w163).... is this one of MB variant? there is S3 logo on the right/left side of the car which im not sure the meaning.... anyone has a clue?

I was thinking of removing mine and wanted to see what it would look like.

You mean the side rails? Must be an option in your region. Not sure if they can be retrofitted, but I expect so.

just checked with MB dealer here... it's an option when buying the new car, not standard. they can be retrofitted for $$$$

the picture without roof rail or roof rack ....

I like it.. it makes it look smaller.. hmmm how to remove them and get the roof strips to fill them in now....

Did you ever figure out a way to remove your roof racks? I am interested in doing the same and cannot find any information on it.

No I didn't do it in the end.
Read posts where people's roof ended up leaking even after MB techs did the removal work.
