First Bluetec to run out of exhaust fluid ?
I cleared all the codes in every module. The car is aparently disabled from starting by the SCR (Selective catalyst) module, I successfully cleared all faults including this module but still no response from the key.
the car is obviously filled to the brim now with the exhaust fluid
Any input would be appreciated other than tow it to the dealer

cheers , Pete
I have also heard of this when the fluid freezes, and the sensor thinks it's empty. Also make sure no fluid spills in the cargo area. That can become a electrical nightmare.
I,myself, have never received a "low DEF" warning so I can't claim any special expertise or experience.

Important notes on use
To function properly, BlueTEC exhaust gas aftertreatment must be operated with the reducing agent AdBlue®.
When the supply of AdBlue® is almost used up, the Refill AdBlue See Owner's Manual message is shown in the multifunction display.
When the AdBlue® supply drops to a minimum, the Refill AdBlue No start in XXXX km message is shown in the multifunction display.
If the Refill AdBlue No start in XXXX km message is shown in the multifunction display, you can still drive the vehicle over the distance shown. If the AdBlue® is not topped up, you will subsequently be unable to start the engine. Refill the AdBlue® tank or have the AdBlue® tank refilled at a qualified specialist workshop. If the Refill AdBlue Eng. start not possible message appears in the multifunction display and the engine does not start, you must top up with at least 3.8 l AdBlue® (approximately 2 AdBlue® refill bottles).
