My pimped W164 (Episode II: Lowered / BRABUS Springs)

Please find attached a bunch of pics showing my lowered W164. I used BRABUS springs (no shocks, springs only) and I'm 100% convinced by the outcome. Car feels just a little bit more stiff, but not hard. Less roll, less chassis movement in general (eg. when accelerating or braking). I can only recommend the BRABUS springs.

BRABUS says that the car was lowered at 2.5 cm only..., but it feels more like something between 3-4. Anyway... I'm just so happy with the overall setup. 100% satisfied with how the car looks and drives now. So, I will most likely not add any additional mods/changes.

Some of the pics also show my black alcantara suede roof liner and other mods of my ride (as described in Episode I of "My pimped W164").

P.S.: The 800x600 resolution, 6 pics limit of this forum IS A JOKE!

Did I already say that the pic limit is a joke...?
So here's the next heap. Sorry, only 800x600 pix. Send complaints to mbworld.org, please.

You can get it straight from MB. It's real brushed aluminium.

Did it help you with reducing the head toss (bobble head effect) over rough roads?

I find the standard setup great over flat but pot holed roads. But if you have rough backside roads, the head toss is horrible.

Finally found the answer to the bobble head toss I described. It appears that the front sway bar bushings were worn, and jam stuck, not allowing the sway bar to swing. Because of this, the tires would fall in the dips, rather than allowing the suspension to extend into the dips, causing the bobble head effect. Once my front sway bar bushings were replaced, my ML drives like I expect a Luxury vehicle to drive on those rough roads. Smoothly.
