windshield wipers not working

hey fellas,
i have an 07 ml350 and the wipers dont turn on anymore. windshield fluid will still pumps and squirt.
i checked fuses 100 in front and 60 in rear. both good.
i wasnt sure which relay controls wipers, but i swapped the liked colored ones around. still not working.
wiper connector is on tight at motor.

and it may be random, but the "SRS" dash light came on a week ago also.

any ideas?

Doubt it's the cause of your problems, but worth checking either way.

I had my rain/light sensor go out. (Mounted be hid rearview mirror on windshield). That meant that the automatic wiping and headlight feature no longer worked and the command unit thought it was night all the time (dark color combo).

Try checking sensors like that, but it sounds like something else is lurking in your car.
Diagnostic check could yield some answers.

Hi
I had an issue with SRS light coming on and no wipers or power to cig lighter. I finally resolved this problem by replacing the Q relay under the hood in the electrical box. It has not happened since I have done this. 14 Euros for the relay. Maybe worth a try.
I also swapped the L and Q relays but still had the same problem. But once I replaced the Q relay all was back to normal.

Funny that you mention this. Cigarette lighter does not work either.
I did swap relays around with no change. The only relay i didn't swap was a small black one because it was the only one. What exactly are L Q relays? I'm going to look at those again and also check to see if water got into rear sam module.

The Q relay is the Wiper On/Off relay
The L Wiper speed 1 and 2.
I have attached the diagram of the fwd relay box.
The Q and L relays on my car were Yellow. (Q is now Purple)R and P are Black and M is Grey.
The Q replacement I think was Bosch made in Portugal and Purple in color.

I finally found the solution. It is all because of the faulty relay in rear SAM - (K) relay with the part number Mercedes 002 542 2619. I hope it helps.

I'm having same issues w my '07 ml350. Did the K relay solve your problem? How much did the part (relay) cost? Is it difficult to DIY? I have already tried to fix it by replacing the front relay (one of the two yellow relays) both wiper related, but that did not fix the issues. Thanks.

Yes, it solved my issues. You can read my post about it from here: https://mbworld.org/forums/gl-class-...ml#post6750076

I learned it the hard way since my relay worked intermittently and diagnostic tool pointed out to front SAM. The part cost is about $10. Hope it helps.

Thanks! I had wanted to take my ML350 to FL tomorrow for the 4th weekend but not w/o windshield wipers but can't get it into the shop until next Wed. That's why I was wondering if you did the relay replacement yourself. If you did, did you need to do any resetting of codes etc. (something I know nothing about). Thanks again.

Replacing relay will not require any resetting of codes etc. However the failure codes will be stored until they will be erased.

I am having this very same issue in my 2010 G55, first the cigarette lighter and glove box lioght stopped working then the windshield wipers, took it to the dealer for a quick fuse check up, they told me the fuses were in good shape. So I am now thinking it is a bad relay, but the can't find this relay diagram for my G55, any help?
