DSR Inoperative, Battery Warning, COMAND cycling ON/OFF, No turn Signals etc
Hi..I'm logging this problem so others can learn. It's from a mates 2007, ML350 4Matic, Petrol. Initially the following occurred whilst driving: DSR Inoperative, Battery Warning, COMAND on-off-on-off-on, no turn signals, A/C won't turn ON, wipers do one(1) sweep, no horn. Also when parked with door open, interior lights cycling OFF/ON). My code reader (iCarsoft MB) is unable to talk to either SAM's. Power is confirmed to both SAM's. I've opened up the front SAM and has no visable prblem- clean as. Mobile MB Mechanic will be attending within next 5 days- I'll update then.

Any updates on your issue? My ML350 is now having the same issues. I just replaced my engine 3 months ago and just last week put in a new battery. My vehicle started and I drove for maybe 20 seconds before receiving all the alarming messages/issues (DSR inoperative, battery warning, SOS messages, audio not working, no turn signals...). Any help is much appreciated.

Can you try to check your battery voltage ? and possibly charge your battery ?.

Thank you! I will try both suggestions and let you know. I did drive right after battery change and then those messages appeared so immediately turned back and parked. Then received another message that said "drive to workshop without shifting/changing gears." Have not driven it since in fear of the worst.

You have to start the engine, and turn the steering wheel twice fully lock to lock.
If that does not work:
Please recharge your battery fully and try it. I looked at date when I posted my problem and it was last year and I do not recall me doing anything major. Must be battery was drained in winter and I would have charged it or something simple so do not worry to much. Dig deeper on internet and you will find something.
My guess is your battery is not fully charged. Please charge directly from under the passenger seat.

Hi...yes this problem was solved. The Central Gateway had water ingress and had failed (parked on a slope and it bucketed down rain- 70mm in one day). The unit lives under the left hand front seat on an ML here in Oz.

What did the fix entail?
Did you have to fully replace a component? Or did it just dry out and fix itself?

Had to replace unit... A place in North Sydney was able to supply one and a seperate guy came to workshop to re-code it.
