Malfunction message, pic of car with an up arrow
Had a message showing an arrow up, with the arrow being below the car symbol.
- the Owner's Manual has various examples with the arrow symbol being inside the car symbol. Does it make any difference if the arrow is under/inside the car symbol?
- I have access to Delphi DS150E scanner. Can it read the actual DTC or is an MB specific scan tool required?
The compressor has been replaced 18 months ago...

The alert said 'malfunction' in a foreign language.
It showed up few times, but it is no longer appearing. Can a Delphi scan tool give any meaningful information?

Delphi scan tool gave the following codes:
5505 - Recovery times during filling of air suspension strut is too long. - Intermittent
5503 - Recovery time during filling of central pressure reservoir is too long - Intermittent
5508 - Hydraulic Pressure Unit Leakage - Intermittent
This page https://mercedes-benz.168motive.com/...ol-system.html suggests a stuck level linkage.
Any other insight into the codes?
I am not familiar at all with the level linkage. Is there somewhere available any technical description on the design and construction? Are there linkages for each wheel or just for front/rear of the car?

Thanks for the info.
The car belongs to my wife, so I hardly ever drive it myself. Here's some additional info:
- Contrary to my first posting, the malfunction symbol is as shown in the Owner's Manual
- While the alert was initially on while start-up, it now shows up while driving (possibly when the vehicle is supposed to lower itself?)
- The car is never sagging in any corner. I would say that it stands quite high up, but my wife does not see any difference to past -so who's to say..
