Pano Roof shortage

Pano Roof shortage
Hi,
I have placed and order for a 2012 ML350 with Pano roof. The order has been placed on hold for a few weeks already, since it contains a Pano roof. Does anyone know what is the problem with the Pano roofs? Any idea on how long it would take until they will start installing them again??
There is one dealer that is willing to commit that he will be able to deliver such a vehicle on May for sure. Is this dealer BS'ing or does he have more information than my dealer?

The JIT production has caused a lot of problems for benz. Unlike toyota's (originators of the JIT) the benz's have a L O T more variability from order to order, infact you can not really custom order a toyota as you can with a benz. From what I have come to understand, the JIT with the PANO's didn't workout due to overwhelming demand.

To the folks with the pano roof, is it even worth it? I had the pano roof in my GL but can't say I enjoyed it much since I spent zero time in the back seat. My new ML will be delivered Friday (hopefully) without a pano roof...not necessarily because I didn't want it but because the one they found had all my desired options minus the pano roof.

It's a nicety (we have it in our C) and the kids love it. Our C has a black interior, including headliner, which is what our ML will have (if they ever build the darn thing) so we figured the Pano would keep the kids happy, and let a bit of light into the cave too!!

We have a pano in ours. According to my 13 year old... It was deal breaker 
if we could not get it. He loves the extra light comming in the back seat. We enjoyed the large sun roof on both B200 we had before. We all feel that the pano roof in combination with the grey headliner makes the interior feel larger.

Panoramic roof shortage?
I hate the way M-B (to be fare, probably most manufacturers) don't divulge any information like this.
