Rear air vents weren't working

Just wondering if anyone's had this. Front air vents working normally, climate control set to auto, but no air coming from rear center vents or from under seats. Switching between upper vents and lower only affects front seats and all the **** turned to full open. This is with ac and ac off. Both zones set to well below outside temp. So .... Tried turning off the whole air system and then back on. Rear vents working fine now on auto and also when upper or lower vents are set manually. I love it when something works, but hate it when I think there could be a problem. Obviously don't want to sit waiting at the dealer having them check a perfectly working truck.

Any ideas on something that could explain this besides the ghost in the machine? Any thoughts or ideas on whether it could be something failing? Hopefully I haven't missed something stupid, but if I have, I'd at least like to know about it.

Have you tried rotating the rear airflow wheel/knob upwards to allow more airflow?

Ya, everything was setup as before (with it working). And like I said, just pressing "off" and then "auto" started everything back up and it's been working since. Just trying to figure if it might indicate something wrong/part failing or if maybe a certain sequence of events might have, by design, prevented the rear vents from activating. Could also be something simple like a software bug that it just happens that only I've run into.

I'm having this same problem with no air blowing from the 2nd row vents. My car is a 2011 and does not have the rear climate controls in the second row, but has the vents. On the front main climate controls, there is a button marked 'rear off'. Assuming when the light is on under that button, it means that no air will blow in the second row. If theres no light, this means that air should blow. I've tried many times to get air to blow out of center vents, but nothing. Is there a special way activate this function?

Hey msim I have the same problem of no air coming out of rear vents but I think my problem is physical (not controls related). I can hear a fan trying to run but sounds like prop is rubbing against housing and will not force air....anyone else have this?

Never happened again to me, just the once. Not entirely sure the reasoning behind the original issue.

There's no wheel to adjust the airflow on mine. It's going in for service on the 12th and I'll report it. I'm not hearing any fan other than the usual blower from the front. Damn!

There is quite a decent stream of air coming through the rear vents on mine, I don't have rear climate control option but there is a vertical wheel that operates a flap to block the flow.
